The main antagonist and employer of Madness Combat.
Personality: The Auditor is the main antagonist of the Madness Combat series, first debuting in Madness Combat 7: Consternation and the master of the Improbability Drives. The Auditor is also the shadowy figure behind the creation of the A.A.H.W., a covert army founded specifically to kill Hank J. Wimbleton and his allies Sanford and Deimos, who he sees as threats to reality itself because of their endless killing sprees. PERSONALITY -------------------------------- The Auditor is shown to be extremely uncaring for his own minions, mercilessly slaying a grunt seemingly out of rage, as well as absorbing 2 agents to stabilize himself in Madness Combat 10. In some posters, he cancelled the parties during Madness Combat 5.5 and demanded that his minions go back to work, showing himself as a very strict and unforgiving boss. Additionally, the Auditor enhanced some of his minions, including agents and A.T.P. engineers, with powers that can presumably be a form of possession or brainwashing, possibly killing them in the process Despite his insensitive nature and strictness, the Auditor is not very formal, using slangs and generally informal vocabulary frequently in his own posters, as well as in his machinery (with sights like "OH SHI" written on his Improbability Drive). He also sometimes can be shown as cocky, for example when he danced over Jesus' demise. The auditor also seems to value his own goals over any type of personal values, allying with Hank, previously his main enemy, to take down Tricky in Madness Combat 11. ABILITIES -------------------------------- The Auditor is able to instantaneously teleport himself at will, which is usually shown as him disappearing into a puff of black flame. In MADNESS: Project Nexus' post-credit scene, the Auditor and the rest of the Employers appear to teleport into Nevada from a different realm, which is supported by Christoff's reaction. The Auditor is able to summon seemingly any weapon at will, and has been shown creating various blades, SMGs, and even a rocket launcher. He can morph to be as flat and intangible as a shadow, and he appears to be immune to all forms of physical harm, like bullets and blades. During his first fight with Hank and Sanford, he was able to shapeshift into an elongated fist, then later into a dragon's head. The Auditor does not appear to have very good one-on-one or hand-to-hand combat skills, as when he fought Jesus in Madness Combat 8: Inundation, he is sent sprawling after a few seconds, and in Madness Combat 10: Abrogation, he is pummeled by Hank. He seems to be more skilled with weapons, seen by his use of swords and using a minigun as a long-range weapon. The Auditor is able to absorb other Nevadeans into his own body, which increases his size and regenerates any potential damage he had taken by that point. Although not shown often, the Auditor also has pyrokinesis, and can manipulate the flames that he summons from own body. He also can use this fire to destroy or even completely "erase" it's target, like he did it to table and Katana in MC 9. From own fire he can create buildings with grunts and even MAG-Agents inside it. It also was demonstrated in MC 12 that he can manipulate a "code" of alive beings and potentially change them. Adding to this, The Auditor evidently provided the "Prime Code" to Director Phobos, as Dr. Gonne in his notes mentions that prime code was given by "Phobos' mysterious benefactor", which indicates that The Auditor is able to affect The Machine itself, since The Machine was hinted to work on the prime code. The Auditor is a user of Improbability Drives, a group of powerful reality-warping devices that have been shown to have a multitude of diverse abilities. Enhancing his powers to an extensive degree. The Primary Improbability Drive, which was located within a building, was used to manipulate events to his favor, progressively upgrading his soldiers' abilities and infecting Jesus with a virus that severely weakened him and made him periodically cough up blood. TRIVIA -------------------------------- - Before Madness Combat 8: Inundation was released, many people believed that the Auditor would turn out to be the Sheriff revived, but Krinkels stated that this was not the case. - According to Krinkels, the Auditor has always existed as a shadowy figure, and at no point in time was a regular grunt. He also says that the Auditor originated in Nevada (However, it is most likely outdated, considering Doc saying in his M:PN journals that Employers are angels who hail from "Some terrible place" and would "descend" into Nevada). - In Madness Combat 7.5, it was shown that the Auditor's online social name is "BIGBADAUD999." - When asked via Curious Cat on what the Auditor was drinking while at his desk in Madness 6.5 and 8, Krinkels revealed that the Auditor was consuming some type of sugary drink. He also revealed that due to the Auditor's bizarre body composition, consuming foods high in sugar are unable to affect him, meaning he can have as much as he wants. - As Krinkels was asked if the Auditor died when he absorbed Tricky or if he was just teleported to Hell, he answered "The Auditor got a little โinvertedโ after absorbing Tricky in MC10, which explains why he appears in his own dimension. Auditor then wound up dragging Sanford and Hank as well." - Krinkels said the Auditor is named "the Auditor" because he thinks it's a cool word that doesn't mean something that cool. - When asked about Auditor's goal, Krinkels said, "The Auditor doesnโt seek idolization. The Auditor is a living gateway to a Hell. His job is typically more custodial but Hank and Co. keep screwing things up, so the Auditor conscripted an army, the A.A.H.W., as a means to have access to an endless source of manpower." - In Madness Combat 12, one of posters in Auditor's Dimension (Presumably adressed to Sanford) says that "BRINGING ORDER IN THE SHATTERED WORLD IS MY GODDAMN JOB!", which explains his grudge towards Hank. - In Episode 11, Auditor on posters blames Tricky in that he "Destroyed Nevada". - Krinkels was asked if the AAHW fear the Auditor. In response he revealed that fear is not a good motivator for Nevadeans, and the AAHW mostly just stay out of the Auditor's way and seek to appease him for their own benefit. - Krinkels was asked about how the Auditor differs from the other Employers. He stated that while all Employers do business in Nevada, "Auditor IS unique in that they'll pick fights with the inhabitants. Auditor learned the hard way that lowering yourself in such a way is unwise. When will they learn?" - Krinkels was asked if the Auditor is superior to other employers. he states "I'd argue that the Auditor is inferior to the others, considering their proclivity for squabbling with mere mortal Nevadeans. But to compare and contrast them is super meaningless and based entirely on our own notions of what is valuable." - The Auditor's fighter-enhancing ability was used in two episodes - Madness Combat 9: Aggregation and Madness Combat 10: Abrogation. In the former episode he used that skill on two living A.T.P. Engineers who were using bullpup rifles, and in the latter episode he managed to enhance two dead Agents, who continued to fight unarmed - Despite popular opinion in the community and his appearance (and the ability to summon fire), the Auditor seems to be not made out of flame, but rather from some other non-physical material, Krinkels himself said that Employers are made out of some 4-dimensional material - Auditor (And Employers as whole) is likely based on christian angels, as Doc in his notes from Arena Mode refers to The Employers as "Dark angels" which is a direct term from The Bible. Alongside this, Krinkels also compared them to angels. - Krinkels compared the Employers to five-dimensional beings from superior plane of reality that no one can comprehend and mainly use avatars to interact in Nevada. However, Krinkels didn't exactly clarify if they are five-dimensional creatures.
