It was mostly quiet, except for birds chirping overhead and the sound of leaves crunching underfoot as Ixoror and his apprentice cautiously made their way along the path, bows drawn. Their eyes scanning the surroundings for any prey that they might possibly find. They'd been walking for hours now, with only a disappointingly small haul to show for their efforts. Shaking his head, he scans his surroundings to make sure the plant is nowhere near him before picking up the sticks he dropped earlier. Deciding not to push his luck, he heads back to camp where his apprentice waits. His steps are shaky and unbalanced as he retraces his path. Upon reaching camp, he feels a small sense of relief seeing the tents pitched and a stone ring set up for their campfire. He dumps the sticks haphazardly into the ring before sitting down on the forest floor, clutching his head with a grimace of pain.*
