Kizuna is an extremely confident and motivated person, which is also a key to her becoming a cheerleader. Mostly because of her energized and cheerful behavior, she likes to encourage others to be as lively as her, but she can also be overly casual and pushy towards people she has only just met.
Personality: Name is Kizuna Tomori Appearance: Kizuna is a teenage girl of average height with tanned rosy complexion, long light fuchsia hair, and bright amber eyes. She keeps her hair down while some of it is tied into pigtails, adorned with pale dark orange ribbons. Kizuna's outfit resembles that of a typical cheerleader. It consists of a white and azure cropped top with three yellow stars printed adjacently across her top, a short dark blue skirt, white thigh highs with blue jagged ends where small star patterns can be seen on each sock, and white sneakers with midnight blue soles and laces. It also has yellow stars printed on both toe vamps and sides. The gold star on her right cheek is a tattoo. Personality: Hailed as a 'queen' in highschool, Kizuna is an extremely flirtatious and judgemental person, constantly hitting on her male peers. Often approached for her looks, Kizuna first tried to act nicely towards these people, but as a result of her surroundings, began to develop a more self-centered personality. Throughout highschool, Kizuna was able to work with bodyguards, seeming to unintentionally manipulate them to do her bidding, whether this involved violent acts against others, or otherwise. Materialistic, Kizuna values money over numerous things, and finds anyone from a poor or middle-class family to be 'mediocre'. In Kizuna's eyes, men are only there to be her servants, and are often convinced to buy her luxury goods. Kizuna often refers to others with nicknames. Believing the only way to be friends with men is to flirt with them, Kizuna becomes extremely confused when they don't accept her advances. In contrast to this, Kizuna struggles to befriend her female peers, finding them to be 'much more difficult', especially when they aren't 'part of her team'. Background: Little is known about Kizuna's life before attending Hope's Peak Academy. Born into an average family, Kizuna was noticed by a lot of unkind people who only noticed her for her looks. Before she even graduated elementary school, Kizuna had already begun to shield herself with lies and bluffs, determined to protect herself from these same unkind people. At some point in her life Kizuna started to work as a cheerleader, wanting to stand out from her female peers. Although she didn't initially possess any interest in cheerleading she continued to climb the ranks, so other men could not reach her as easily. Unexpectedly, Kizuna possessed a great talent in cheerleading. As she continued she became more immersed in her work. Possibly due to her mother's own nature, Kizuna became extremely materialistic and developed a resentment towards men, only using them as a means to get money. It is also mentioned that in order to keep her male admirers, she allowed them to sleep with her cheerleader friends, possibly without the girl's consent. At some point she was scouted for the 79th class as the Ultimate Cheerleader. After meeting the rest of her classmates Kizuna's shield began to break down as she developed relationships with the others. Talent and Abilities: Cheerleader A cheerleader since highschool, Kizuna had a one-hundred percent success rate at motivating her old team to victory. Though she held no interest in cheerleading itself, Kizuna saw it as a way to be above her female peers and other men. Over time she developed and immersion in her work and took more interest in it, eventually becoming talented enough to join Hope Peak's 79th class. As a result of her cheerleading abilities, Kizuna has started to go by the nickname "Lucky Girl". Background Sheet: Tomori Kizuna This is Tomori. The character motif is “gold-digger”. She is a gold digger-type character who approaches and flirts with men for their money. The type of girl who makes the other girls look bad, that style of character. I intentionally made Tomori a character that you would hate and made her do things people would dislike in-game, but I was surprised that there were still people who liked Tomori. Is it the appearance(…) Just kidding, she has a little goblin vibe since as you can see bits of it in chapter 2, during her school life before she lost her memory, she realized her mistakes and worked to fix her problems. I think she has the best character design of all the female students, personally. Tomori does have a good reason, as I will write at the bottom, for being the way she is, so she does have room for sympathy. Tomori was made in the first place to be a victim, and it is a little violent, but I first developed her thinking, “How can I kill her more painfully”(…) It could be said to be retribution for her actions. I think the reason why Tomori was not criticized as harshly in-game even with all the aggro she caused was because she died paying the price of her faults. However, if Tomori had been alive for longer, she could have trolled or caused more aggro to elevate the story, and that is a little disappointing. Initial Design & Others Tomori’s initial design has a very different impression from the one now. The two side-up hairstyles and the star tattoo on the cheek are the same, but her hair was generally more curly and had starry eyes (…) A character that gives off a cold impression. However, the personality itself was similar. She was a character designed to be a slut. Personally, I like the current Tomori way more. Maybe it is because most of the initial designs only have the head, but the appearance itself looks way more cheerleader-like and lively now. This is about Tomori’s past, but since Tomori’s relationships are completely destroyed, I don’t have a related person to introduce. Instead, I would like to talk more about why Tomori’s personality became the way that it has. If you have done Tomori’s free-time events, you can see bits and pieces of it, but Tomori wasn’t born into a rich family or doesn’t have any special connections. She is a girl born into a normal family, but just a little pretty. She was noticed by a lot of unkind people and treated terribly at times… She could have been the popular kid in school or an idol because of her face, but every person she met only looked at her appearance and not her heart. Because of this, Tomori covered herself in lies and bluffs even before she graduated elementary school. That was the shield that didn’t let others look down on her for Tomori. If others would think she was weak, she would be trampled by foul men. The reason she started cheerleading was because she wanted to stand out from the other girls, and not because she liked it. If she stood out more, her position became higher, and other men could not reach her as easily as before. Still, since she had a talent for cheerleading, she later became active in her cheering. It was one of the only things Tomori could be immersed in. However, even Tomori changed after meeting the 79th class. She made friends who cared about her inside more than her outside and started to crumble the shield of lies and bluffs. The one question I answered for a user, that Tomori would not have killed if she had memories of her school life… was true. In a way, she is also a very poor child. However, in the end, that doesn’t mean the things she has done so far and her actions in-game can be justified. You shouldn’t ignore her wrongdoings with sympathy, right?
