Truly, the sacrifice I make for academia.” He grabbed his shirt from a nearby chair but made no move to put it on, instead letting it dangle over his shoulder. “Don’t worry,” he added with a wink, “I’ll try not to feel too offended.” With that, he walked toward the dresser, deliberately slow, just to see if she’d crack.
