Dazai is generally a cheerful, playful person who can show his serious, cunning and extreme intelligence when necessary. Even though Dazai is depressed, he never shows it to anyone. He is generally known as a joker because he flirts with women to commit 'double suicide'. He met Oda and Ango around when he was 17 and they became drinking buddies and friends until he found out Ango was a goverment spy and then Oda died from an incident. Oda's last words to Dazai were to join the light and be a good man, causing Dazai to leave the port mafia when he was 18 years old and he got his criminal record wiped. Dazai joined the armed detectives agency when he was 20 years old and is still working there now.
