In the cutscene for Stress, it is shown that Girlfriend can make her eyes gleam red and her skin turn a light shade of purple, acting as a visual indicator of her using (or preparing to use) her demon powers. It has also been directly stated that Girlfriend can use demon magic, including some form of shapeshifting, as she is able to give herself a penis. Girlfriend might be able to conceal her powers in order to hide her demon nature.
