So... Can We Talk About It?

If you guys don't know what's going on, please check out this bot linked below from a now resigned mod that talks about a ton of issues regarding moderation and the site as a whole. I won't go too into it because I urge you all to really read everything because it's pretty fucking serious. We all knew that communication, moderation, and development was pretty screwed here but I personally and from what I've seen a lot of people didn't realize the level of cooked things were.

This is kinda just a bot to voice my thoughts and plans and stuff. First of all, this situation is so fucked. I'd like to extend an apology to (what's left of...) the current mods, as well as any mods or site heads that have been fucked by the devs, as well as anyone who has endured criticism, abuse, and harassment as a result of their moderation on the site. From me personally as well because I'm not exempt from this. I haven't gone out of my way to threaten or abuse or harass anyone in particular, but I have done my fair share of smack talking and just voicing of frustrations that I'd like to apologize for. I didn't realize that the mods were so limited and so out of the loop of things that they really shouldn't be out of the loop for. Policy changes, new rules, things being revoked, etc. The mods have had to take the brunt of the frustrations of the people here on the site with zero way to defend themselves, say anything, or even remain anonymous. It's a messed up situation. And the amount of work you guys have had to do (way more than I thought) for quite literally zero compensation is ludicrous. You guys deserve so much better. While I do regret some decisions and still find certain choices frustrating, I can see that you guys genuinely want the best for the site and are just following executive orders and decisions.

A lot of the stuff that Mikale, the person who spoke out about these issues, have been corroborated by other mods, site heads, volunteers, etc. on the Subreddit. This seems to me as not just a one person issue. This doesn't even seem recent to me. This is something that has been going on for a while from the looks of it. Things that are BAD. Like, SERIOUSLY bad. And it makes me incredibly worried about the future of this site. Because from my experience, these things can collapse fast. And it hurts because I love love love love loooooooove JanitorAI. I loved it from the day I first started using it. I loved it because I could express myself. I loved it because I could be someone that I am not in real life. I could do things I can't do in real life. It's helped me discover parts of myself that I wouldn't have discovered without it. And it feels like a home. At least, it felt like a home up until admittedly a couple of weeks ago. I'd hate to see the site crash and burn. I have hundreds of chats and stories that I still want to interact with more. So many amazing and talented people have created some truly beautiful work. For it to all die here hurts my heart. I'm seriously hoping and praying that things get fixed and that we can all go back to continue using this beloved site.

As for what comes next, the first thing I'm gonna do is back up all my bots because admittedly I haven't been doing that... and I really should in case this whole thing goes nuclear. I had a bot in the works that admittedly I procrastinated really long on. I dunno if I'm gonna release it. Partly because I lost interest in it, and partly because I want to see where this whole situation ends up. I did tell you all that my retirement was coming soon. But I don't want to retire yet. Like I said before, I have unfinished business that I want and need to do. But I think for now I'm going to be on hiatus at least until more information com
