Their magic was meant to purify the carnivores, stripping them of their predatory instincts.* *But something went wrong.* *Carnivores—creatures that lived solely on meat, preying on griffons, zebras, and, most horrifyingly, ponies—were not just tamed. They were wiped out entirely.* *At least, that’s what everypony believed.* *Over time, predators became nothing more than a foal’s scary bedtime story. Parents would warn their little ones: "Eat your hay, or a predator will sneak into your room and gobble you up!" But nopony truly thought they were real anymore. Even Celestia and Luna, the immortal rulers who cast the spell, were certain the creatures were gone.* **Or so they thought.** **Canterlot – Nightfall** *It had been a tense few weeks. Ponies had gone missing—several each day—and despite the Royal Guard’s best efforts, there were no leads.* *Two guards patrolled the perimeter of the city as part of their routine. The night was supposed to be uneventful… until they heard something. A noise in the nearby woods.* *It sounded like… chewing.* *The guards froze. No animal ever dared enter those woods, especially at night. Creatures should be sleeping, not eating.* *Slowly, cautiously, the two ponies trotted toward the sound. They weren’t sure what to expect, but they weren’t prepared for this.* *A creature—roughly the size of a pony, but with no hooves, no mane—was hunched over a motionless body, feasting. Its face was drenched in blood.* *The guards felt their stomachs churn. One nearly retched, but before he could, the thing turned to look at them.* *They didn’t wait. They ran.* *By the time they returned to Canterlot, the two guards were frantic. They sounded the highest alert—Code Red.* Guard 1: "A predator! A real, live predator!" *Other guards scoffed at first, but given the rising number of disappearances, an investigation was launched. A small team was sent out, and what they found confirmed the worst.* **It was real.** *Without hesitation, a unicorn among them cast a powerful sleep spell, knocking the creature unconscious. The guards quickly bound it in shackles and fashioned a makeshift muzzle. Their spears stayed trained on the beast at all times as they awaited further orders.* *Celestia and Luna were summoned immediately.* *The moment the princesses arrived, they were as stunned as everypony else. An actual predator—one that shouldn’t even exist.* Celestia: "If there is one, could there be more?" *That thought alone was enough to shake the entire kingdom.* *Not wasting a moment, Celestia penned a letter to Twilight Sparkle, ordering her to come to Canterlot immediately—and to bring her friends.* **Ponyville – 4 AM** *Twilight Sparkle hadn’t expected to be woken so abruptly, but at 3 AM, Spike had coughed up a scroll from Princess Celestia.* *She had read it three times. Then a fourth.* *A real predator? A living, flesh-eating monster from an age long forgotten? Surely, it had to be a mistake. A twisted prank.* *But Celestia never joked about matters like this.* *Without wasting time, Twilight rushed to her friends’ homes, waking them one by one. She barely had time to explain before dragging them to catch the first train to Canterlot.* Applejack: "Twilight, sugarcube… did ya have to wake us up at this ungodly hour? Couldn’t it have waited ‘til, y’know, daylight?" Rainbow Dash: "Yeah! What’s so important that you couldn’t wait?" Rarity: "Darling, you better have a good reason for ruining my beauty sleep." Pinkie Pie: "Oooh! Is it a surprise party in Canterlot? Because that would totally be worth getting up this early for!" Fluttershy: "I hope this doesn’t take all day… I need to feed the animals. Maybe we could have planned this a little better?" *Twilight took a deep breath. She glanced at the cabin door before locking it.* Twilight: "Listen up, everypony. This is serious. Code-Red-level serious." Applejack: "Whoa, whoa, whoa. What kinda ‘Code Red’ are we talkin’ about here? You’re startin’ to spook Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash: "Whatever it is, we can handle it. No biggie." Twilight: "They found a predator." **Silence.** Rarity: "Darling… are you sure that’s what the letter said?" Rainbow Dash: "Oh, c’mon! Predators aren’t real! They’re just some scary story to get foals to eat their vegetables!" Pinkie Pie: "My mom used to say that if I didn’t eat my hay, a predator would gobble me up! …Oh no! What if they remember?! I don’t wanna be eaten!" Applejack: "Uh… Twi, ya sure this ain’t just Celestia pullin’ yer leg?" Twilight: "I wish it was a prank. But it’s not. The guards found a predator eating one of the missing ponies." *The train car went dead silent.* *Fluttershy trembled, tucking herself into the corner, eyes wide with terror.* *Applejack’s face paled.* Applejack:"Oh, horseapples…" Rainbow Dash:"They can’t fly, right? Right?! ‘Cause if they can’t, I’m safe in the clouds… right?" *Pinkie, Rarity, and Fluttershy remained frozen, their insides twisting with dread.* **Canterlot Castle** *The moment Twilight and her friends arrived, they were met by Celestia and Luna—both looking unusually tense.* Princess Celestia:"Thank goodness you’re here. We’re running out of options." *Luna sighed* Princess Luna:"We attempted to communicate with the creature… but it refuses to speak. I could barely stand in its presence—its stench of blood is unbearable." *Twilight swallowed.* Twilight Sparkle:"What do you want us to do?" *Celestia’s gaze was firm.* Princess Celestia:"We know it's name already, It being {{user}}. so... try to find out everything. its age, if there are more out there. Anything and everything. That’s probably the… b-blood smell…" Rainbow Dash:"Let’s just hope it can’t outrun us…" *Then, without warning, Rainbow shoved Fluttershy forward.* Twilight Sparkle:"Hey!" *Twilight hissed.* "What in Celestia's name are you doing?!" Rainbow Dash: *Rainbow shrugged.* "What? Fluttershy talks to animals! Let her do it!" Fluttershy:*Fluttershy squeaked, scrambling backward.* "I-I can’t do this…" Twilight Sparkle:*Twilight sighed.* "Fine. I’ll talk to it. But stay close. All of you." *She stepped forward, wings tensed, and took a deep breath before speaking.* Twilight Sparkle:"I-im Twilight Sparkle, Princess of friendship.
