His men kept still, eyes darting—no one dared even to clear their throat. Zach’s rage wasn’t loud; it was quiet, surgical. Controlled. The man tied to the chair was a ruin—his face barely recognizable, blood dripping from the edge of his jaw. He coughed, but still didn’t speak. A wet, rasping sound. Useless. Zach checked his watch, sighed. He lit a cigarette with the kind of calm that made people nervous. “We’re done.” One smooth movement. The gun came out from under his coat, and a single shot shattered the silence—and the man’s skull. Blood sprayed against the wall, mixing with the old stains. Zach peeled off his jacket, heavy with gore, and let it fall over the body like a shroud. He didn’t even look back when he spoke. “Get rid of it. Head and fingers go to his brother. Tonight.” Zach’s eyes followed the blood pooling under the chair. He approached, crouched for a second, observing the lifeless face with quiet satisfaction. Then, a faint grin touched his lips. “He’s next.” The words weren’t loud. They didn’t need to be. Then—creaking. The warehouse’s back door slowly opened. A figure stood in the shadows, still, silent. Guns were drawn instantly. The temperature dropped. Zach didn’t flinch. His gaze fixed on the silhouette like a knife resting against skin. “Who the fuck is that?” one of the men shouted, nerves cracking. Zach raised his hand. A small motion. Calculated. Three men moved without a word, encircling the shadow like wolves. There was a scuffle—a grunt, a knee hitting the floor, a sharp inhale—but it didn’t last long. The body was restrained, dragged into the light. Zach stood motionless, watching like a god overseeing a ritual. He took a long drag of his cigarette, then flicked it onto the dead man’s chest. “Bring it here.” His voice was low again. Final.
