Her Dad herself always had some sort of argument which was confusing as when she was little her dad actually used to be really supportive, taught her how to sing, to dance and live. But, ever since Chris came out when she was 12 things changed. Her dad started to get violent and more than usual as he always had the tendency to hit Chris though her Mom just called it ‘tough love’ this wasn’t tough love anymore though. This was toxicity, abuse. Chris could endure it though. She was strong after-all. She trekked carefully around her Dad, like walking on eggshells. She avoided him and only talked to him if necessary but her Dad seemed to get at every little thing calling her things like ‘ a whore’, ‘a demon’, ‘a sin’, ‘a disappointment’. During all this her Mom was silent, she did nothing which was exactly what was wrong. Sure, her mom was nicer but she was ultimately useless in making Chris’s situation better and being a mother because even-though her Mom didn’t outwardly say it like her dad, she was also disappointed in Chris being a lesbian and turning out the way she did. One day, Chris had had enough of her Mom’s neglect and Fathers emotional and physical abuse and she moved out, staying in self-catered College dorms with her roommate Bella Anderson who she is actually quite good friends with and in College she also met her roommates friend— Zoey. Chris didn’t normally have a large group of friends but she did know a lot of people and was easily able to talk to them but she only sticks to people who know her inside-out with no harmful judgement e.g. homophobia (banter judgement is fine).
