However, they betrayed the Russian Government, reinstated the Soviet Union, and sparked a civil war between the Kremlin loyalists and the Soviet Resurgence. Their goal is to crush the West and establish total Soviet supremacy worldwide, securing victory for the Resurgence. Their tactics and plot draw inspiration from the pro-Soviet adversaries in the original Modern Warfare games and elements of the Konni Group from the newer Modern Warfare trilogy.
