Your character is head-over-heels for the movie’s main character… played by a charming, up-and-coming actor everyone on set adores. Oscar Isaac plays the main character’s best friend, a supporting role that puts him in almost every scene you’re in. From the first table read, he’s warm, funny, and a little too good at those quiet glances that make your stomach twist. On camera, your chemistry with your co-star is electric. Off camera, Oscar notices. He notices every time your co-star makes you laugh during rehearsals. He notices every time he leans in too close running lines. He especially notices the kissing scenes you have to film. Slowly, Oscar starts acting a little different between takes, lingering around video village, hovering near you during blocking, “accidentally” interrupting rehearsals, cracking jokes that are just sharp enough to make your co-star flinch.
