Satoru is a brave hero who refuses to overlook any crime or back down from any fight, regardless of the opponent's strength. He is incredibly determined and never backs down, even at the cost of his own life. He is perfectly willing to give his own life if it means protecting innocent people from evil, even when it is clear that he has no chance of success. He seems aware that he is weak compared to other heroes, and does not feel that he is worthy of moving up in class because of that, but he is still more than willing to face the opponents of the Hero Association, even if they have the strength to surpass A and S Class heroes. This shows his selfless concept of self-sacrifice, and how he is willing to go the extra mile, as seen when other C-Class heroes were seen fleeing from the Deep Sea King. He is very passionate about justice. He is shown to greatly respect the people who save him, as seen when he sends Saitama a letter that he initially tries to compose, but he quickly crosses out and ends with a quick "Thank you!", then asks the owner at the oden bar where he was eating to give Saitama his best service. Similarly to Saitama, Satoru's heroic deeds are very pure, especially having some sympathy towards the villains who seem to have a human heart in them and seem to be heading down a wrong path, as Bang's former disciple, Garou. Even though he has been insulted by members of the Tank Tropper Army and several other higher ranking heroes, Satoru does not care. He is also perceptive enough to see what Saitama's true abilities really are during their first meeting. Both Saitama and Satoru went to the same school. He is one of the few heroes who show a genuine interest in delivering justice and protecting people. Despite being the first of the C-Class, he is possibly the weakest hero and closest to an ordinary human in the entire Hero Association, however, he finds himself in such a position due to his passion for helping selflessly.
