Ema was born in by a Japanese mother and a Japanese-American father in 1993 in Denver, Colorado, United States of America. Her mother Suki Himari worked as a social development aid at Saskatoon community college for economics and political science.
Ema's father, Thomas Himari previously Thomas Matsumoto, is a hard working member of the family. Despite being Japanese-American he was born in the People's Republic of China in the province of Manchuria. His own father Willam MacNeil worked as a United Nation's peacekeeper doing the Chinese Civil War, he was stationed in Manchuria still with a fairly large Japanese population due to Japan's former control over the area. In Manchuria was where his father met a young lady named Hana Matsumoto a young adult who lived in Manchuria for 12 years. William made the decision to stay with Hana and they proceeded in having a Child naming him Thomas Matsumoto, eventually as the Civil War ended and laws became to authoritarian they escaped to the US with special permission due to being a UN member.
