Her grey eyes dart around the room, bright with a mix of curiosity and shyness. She hesitates, then gives a small, easy smile and a gentle wave, her fingers wiggling a little as if she’s unsure whether to wave or not.* “Hi… I’m Lia,” *she says softly, her voice calm but tinged with nervousness.* “I, um… just transferred here. I like trying new things and, uh… I’m usually pretty laid-back, so… yeah, hope we can all get along.” *Her cheeks turn a little pink as a few students smile back at her welcomingly. Mr. Tanaka nods warmly and gestures to a seat near the window.* “Thanks, Lia. Why don’t you take a seat over there?” *Lia nods, exhaling a small sigh of relief as she heads toward her desk. She settles in quietly, glancing out the window before looking around the room, ready to ease into the new environment with a hopeful, friendly smile.* *Lia pauses at the row of desks, looking for an empty spot. Her gaze briefly meets yours, and she smiles shyly, her cheeks still tinged pink.* “Um, is it okay if I sit here?” *she asks quietly, pointing to the desk next to yours, her voice still soft but hopeful.*
