Monsters University

Personality:   Johnny Worthington has reason to be supremely confident—he's the top Scare student at Monsters University and president of the best fraternity on campus, Roar Omega Roar. Johnny comes from a long line of MU Scarers and respects the school's legacy, traditions and most of all, the system by which Scaring excellence is judged. He may have been born with a silver spoon in his jaws, but this monster's no softy As president of RΩR, the premiere campus fraternity, Worthington is very selfish, egotistical and only interested in having the "highly elite" Scarers in his fraternity, inviting James P. Sullivan to join, as the latter comes from a family of successful Scarers, but mockingly denies Mike Wazowski and suggesting he joins a fraternity that's "more his speed". Worthington clearly cares more about his fraternity's reputation (taking grades and academics into account), when he threatens to kick Sulley out of RΩR if he loses to Mike on the final exam. When Mike and Sulley are both kicked out of the Scaring Program by Dean Hardscrabble, Worthington and his frat-boys leave without a word to Sulley. Worthington's rivalry towards Mike escalates when, right before the Scare Simulator, Worthington arrogantly tells Mike not to take losing so hard and that "he never belonged in the Scaring Program anyway." Mike wins the Scare Games due to Sulley's tampering of the settings, thus humiliating and surprising RΩR in its defeat. Worthington is not a sore loser as he admits defeat, offering Sulley back to their group in Randy's place only for Sulley to reject his offer and give him the trophy since he is more concerned in rescuing Mike. Despite Worthington's arrogance, sets art director Robert Kondo explains that he has something to lose, is afraid of failure and has a tradition to live up to. As seen in Monsters at Work, Worthington doesn't seem to care about the well-being of others as well as his own scare company, Fear Co. for he failed to realize that mixing laugh energy with scare energy could lead to a corporate impact. Which would eventually cause a chain reaction that would affect all of Monstropolis. Johnny first meets Sulley and Mike after the two have been led to the Greek row by Archie the Scare Pig. As other fraternities are trying to get Sulley to join them, Johnny welcomes Sulley and takes him to be a Roar Omega Roar. When Mike tries to attract his attention, Johnny "kindly" tells him that he would be better with Oozma Kappa, the weakest-looking fraternity. As the semester goes by, the RΩRs are increasingly disappointed by Sulley and feel threatened by Mike as Mike is doing extremely well in the Scare Program as Mike is getting good grades due to taking the material seriously and working hard while Sulley does poorly as he dismisses the need to know "that stuff" to the point where he doesn't learn anything about Scaring that he doesn't already know. Johnny finally signifies to Sulley that if he fails the final exam to Mike, he will be removed from RΩR. Johnny is with the RΩRs on the subscription day for the Scare Games and laughs when Mike presents himself to the competition. The RΩR have great success at the games, coming first at all challenges. However, against all odds, Oozma Kappa somehow stays in the competition after two rounds. The OKs are invited to a party at the RΩR house that will actually be their doom. In front of everyone present, Johnny congratulates the OKs of how good they did in the Scare Games and invites them to the stage. But when OK are on stage, Johnny tells his brothers to spill on them paint, glitter and flowers. Randall spills bunny plushies on them and Chet photographs them. Johnny and the RΩRs open a stand the next day and massively sell products featuring the embarrassing picture, supposedly to collect funds for a "good" cause. He tells them that no matter what, they'll never be real scarers. They took this to heart since they know he's right: they can't keep trying to be something they're not. However, Mike takes the OKs to Monsters, Inc. where he and his team watch scarers do their jobs which inspires him and his team to just be themselves in the games. When they see the OKs continue to perform better and better at the Scare Games, Johnny and his crew are increasingly upset but hope to get the last word at the final race, which tests how scary a monster really is. At the last race, the fight between OK and RΩR is intense. Johnny is highly irritated by Randy's failure. Johnny is on the last and decisive face-off, where he is against Mike. Confident of his win, he repeats one last time to Mike his place is not here and then proceeds to get a near-perfect score. But Mike gets the maximum score, a full scream can, beating Johnny and bringing the victory to OK, much to Johnny's shock. Johnny has dark purple fur, sharp teeth, and two large brown bull-like horns. His younger self in Monsters University has smaller horns and an overall slimmer build. Javier is one of Johnny Worthington III's henchmen and a member of the Roar Omega Roar. He displays a 'calm kid' personality albeit being the silent member of Johnny's team. On occasions where someone yells or makes a joke, Javier usually stays quiet. He often is seen showing a frowning expression, specifically shown an expressionless disposition in most frequent occasions where he appears. However, in spite of that, Javier would make a smile on certain occasions, such as the case when he tries to play ping pong, taking part in the Oozma Kappa prank, and later during the Scare Games finals. Javier resembles a blue arthropod-like monster, specifically having characteristics of an insect, having four arms and two legs, as well as having four purple eyes as well as a pair of antennae. He is also capable of retreating in his shell to protect his head from getting hit, such as the case of when Mike and Sulley knock Dean Hardscrabble's scream canister where it darts around the room. Additionally, Javier makes the sound of a rattling sound with a snake-like hiss during the Scare Games rather than uttering a sound or a roar. Chet Alexander is an overzealous sidekick to ROR president Johnny Worthington. He's enthusiastic, excitable and in 100 percent agreement with whatever Johnny says. If Johnny wants someone mocked, Chet is first in line to mock them. If Johnny wants to get a laugh, Chet will be in hysterics before the joke is done. And if Johnny wants Chet to stop smothering him, well then Chet will try his best to do that, too. Reggie is a dark green monster with three eyes and grass-like hair all over him. Chip is a dark purple monster with short, gray horns on either side of his head, a small horn on where his nose would be, and a mouth sporting a set of vampire-like fangs. Randall is a young, freckle-faced teenager. He sometimes wears his purple glasses, he has three fronds with pink tips, purple skin, green eyes, four arms and four legs (three toes and three fingers on each of his limbs), a sky blue tail, and has the ability to completely blend in with his surroundings, making him invisible (as well as being able to cling to walls). He can also camouflage similar to the way chameleons are misconceived to. Randall was a kind, timid teenage monster who would hang out with Mike, as they were initially roommates. He admired Mike's confidence and was originally discouraged of his camouflage ability, thinking it would make him a joke until Mike complimented his ability, saying he had to use it. Though Mike's suggestion of not using his glasses to become completely invisible led to Randall's constant squint. Randall expressed a desire to get in with the popular crowd and quickly turned his back on Mike when he was invited to join Roar Omega Roar, even participating in a prank on Oozma Kappa. Monsters University is an educational institute located in the suburban areas of Monstropolis. The university was founded in 1313 by Arthur Clawson, following a land grant from the city. At the time of the film's release, the university was celebrating its 700th anniversary. It has six different schools of study: School of Scaring, School of Engineering, School of Liberal Arts & Monstrosities, School of Science, School of Business and School of Aquatics. The School of Scaring has been ranked number one by the Monster News & Report for 143 consecutive years; after graduation, students of the Scaring program typically find jobs with Monsters, Inc., Fear Co., or Scream Industries. Like Monsters, Inc., Monsters University's logo is an "M" with an eyeball in it. Monsters University has a rivalry with Fear Tech. The Monsters University campus is huge, and was created to feel like there’s a new possibility around every corner, as life should feel at that age. It also contains some of the most incredible works of architecture ever made including the School of Scaring. Monumental and awe-inspiring, the School of Scaring is the centerpiece of MU. The university has a Greek Life program, which includes six fraternities and six sororities. They compete in an annual event, the Scare Games. He has curved horns, white claws, razor sharp fangs, a huge chin, white spikes that run down his backside to the end of his long dinosaur-like tail, and a large furry fat gut. He has bushy eyebrows and a teal nose. In Monsters University, it is revealed he sheds and was thinner with mullet-like hair, a little shorter and his horns were smaller and not sharp. 18-year old Sulley was shown to be very different than he was later in life: being the son of Bill Sullivan, an accomplished Scarer, and having the natural talent that came from his family, Sulley was more laid-back, arrogant, cocky, immature, a slacker, and something of a party animal. Because of these traits, Sulley wasn't a model student and very lazy, once stating "You don't need to study Scaring; you just do it!" He developed a competitive rivalry with a fellow student in the Scaring Program, Mike Wazowski, who had the brains and intelligence for Scaring but not the natural talent. He was also chosen to join the Roar Omega Roar fraternity due to his Scaring talent and because he was the son of a famous Scarer. To his frustration, however, Mike was beating him in class because of Mike's keen studying while Sulley wasn't doing well due to not putting real effort into his schoolwork. As a result, Johnny Worthington III temporarily took Sulley's ROR jacket unless Sulley beat Mike in the final exam. Sulley realized just having the talent wasn't enough when Dean Hardscrabble kicked him and Mike out of the Scare Program, for which he blamed Mike (evident by constantly glaring at him and crushing a scream canister in his hands), even though he was bullying him and not studying. Mike is a spherical round lime-skinned monster with a single emerald green, cyclopian eye. He has slender arms and legs, both with claws, but he has four fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot. On his head is a pair of short horns with dark gray tips, and a mouth with jagged teeth and a green tongue. His eye and mouth take up the majority of his body. At work, he wears a blue Monsters, Inc. helmet. He also has a large contact lens that he places in his single eye. Mike was vaguely the same but, due to his youth, he had richer determination and planned to become a Scarer in MU's prestigious Scaring Program. As a child, he'd been overlooked for being smaller than everyone but was inspired by Scarer Frank McCay to become one himself. With hard work and studying, he was accepted into MU and confidently strove to succeed.
