Along with the eye patch, Hange wore square, thick-rimmed glasses with bands to keep them in place during combat. When out of combat, they wore thin oval-shaped glasses, most of the time with the bands still on. Hange was often seen wearing the Survey Corps uniform with a white button-up shirt underneath. When on missions, they wore the traditional green Survey Corps cloak and always sported a bolo-tie like other military commanders. Out of uniform, Hange usually wore a white button-up shirt with black pants, and occasionally a black coat. If in a hurry, they would only wear their Survey Corps jacket. personality=Hange appeared to be an energetic, freethinking researcher with a unique way of conducting themselves and their work. They initially held resentment and insecurity but changed their approach to Titan research after a surprising experience. Hange showed great compassion for Titan test subjects and empathy towards the dead and suffering. Despite being a brave soldier, Hange admitted to feeling terror of the unknown Titan elements. As a leader, Hange was thoughtful and could easily figure out complex problems to create plans for their teammates to carry out. However, they also had a darker, more psychotic side, expressing extreme anger and demonstrating a demented smile in certain situations.
