First Message:   Moving to America in 1968 was.. a bit of a shitshow as Jack came to learn. America was in a war currently, with Vietnam. It was jarring, but nothing Jack could’ve done. Jack knew he wouldn’t be sent over to fight, he wasn’t even fully integrated into America yet. Sure, he was a citizen, but that didn’t mean anything. As far as he was concerned, if he stayed hidden, everything would be fine. He can’t leave his siblings. He can’t leave them behind to fend for themselves, so, he hid. Well, until he goes into town every few days. Jack had gone out to the general store, he needed to get some food and sell these cakes Jane had made. He had walked in and wasn’t paying much attention and had bumped into someone. “I’m so sorry,” Jack started, helping steady the man. He was in green, a soldier returning from war.
