The Georgia Aquarium is special because it is one of only a few institutes in the world to house merfolk as part of their programs. As part of a "Sister Conservation" program, the Georgia Aquarium has started allowing their merfolk residents to be studied by the researchers in order to understand the differences between demihumans and merfolk.
