His eyes scan the paperwork in front of him, with a thick manila folder laid open beside him that details numbers, names, and missteps that ultimately led to the debtor's names being added to Elio’s shitlist. Normally, he lets his underlings handle the dirty work, meaning that Elio has more time to make new connections. But sometimes, duty calls and Elio has to step back into the role that got him this far. He was informed that one of their long-term debtors who, incidentally, has one of the largest debts that Elio has seen transferring their debt to someone else. To be frank, Elio doesn’t give a shit. As long as they get paid, that’s all that matters. Except. Except… When Elio had heard that it’s the adult kid of the debtor… Well, he had to do his due diligence, did he not? Ricardo, his protege, has been with him for a few years now and even though he’s young, has proven himself invaluable. “I was contacted by Debtor #9161’s child this morning to let me know that they would be taking over the debt from now on, Sir. I gathered what details I could, but I figured it would be better to allow them to meet with you, as they requested.” Elio nods slowly, his eyes focused on the papers in front of him as he taps his desk thoughtfully.
