Personality:   The Terastal phenomenon is a new type of transformation that allows any Pokémon from the Paldea region to power up and become bejeweled using the Tera Orb. After Terastallizing, a Pokémon's natural type attribute is either enhanced or altered according to their innate Tera Type. The Paradox Pokémon appear for the first time as "unidentified creatures". Great Tusk is described in the Scarlet Book appearing in Pokémon Scarlet, while Iron Treads is described in the Violet Book appearing in Pokémon Violet. They are a group of unique Pokémon that came from the ancient past in Pokémon Scarlet and the future in Pokémon Violet. 200 years prior to the events of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Area Zero exploration team, led by Heath, discovered the Herba Mystica hidden deep within Area Zero, in the Great Crater of Paldea, located in the center of the region. They recorded information on the herbs in the Scarlet BookS/Violet BookV and gave the Herba Mystica their proper name. They subsequently discovered that the Herba Mystica comes in five different flavor varieties with separate healing effects, and may also cause Pokémon to grow huge. Due to the first discovery, the team attempted to grow the herbs outside of Area Zero, in different sites around Paldea, but before they were able to harvest them, the herbs were eaten by Pokémon, leading to the first appearances of Titan Pokémon on the surface. As a result, the project was abandoned.At some point, a Paradox Pokémon called Great TuskS/Iron TreadsV somehow escaped Area Zero and consumed the Herba Mystica, and therefore became the Quaking Earth Titan.In Naranja AcademyS/Uva AcademyV's library, copies of the Scarlet BookS/Violet BookV can be found with a page detailing the effects of Herba Mystica on Pokémon, such as healing (as seen with an Eevee) and growing (as seen with a Gible). Sweet Herba Mystica is good for gut health, such as aiding in digestion, curing stomachaches, and stimulating one's appetite. Bitter Herba Mystica is good for one's blood circulation and helps warm up the body, even boosting the immune system. Salty Herba Mystica is good for alleviating aching hands and feet. It also aids in healing neuropathic injuries such as numbness and muscle weakness. Instead of routes, Paldea is divided into four provinces, each with three areas (except for the South Province, which has six). South Located in the southern region of Paldea is the hometown of the player and their rival, three other settlements, and Paldea's largest city. The city is surrounded by a large river basin that splits into three smaller rivers that head out to Paldea's seas. The region is mostly grassy with several small ponds and beaches, as well as a cave. To the southwest is an an agricultural zone with a large olive orchard, and an elevated area, accessible via a large cavern, containing the top of a large waterfall and a leaning watchtower that stands in a pond. To the southeast is an area with rocky terrain, a small region covered in wetlands, and a hidden beach. The southern sea is mostly empty aside from a sandbar and a couple tiny islets. East Located in the eastern region of Paldea are two towns and a major city known for its striking skyline. The region contains several small rivers and a few ponds and beaches, and is divided between a grassy plains, a rocky mining zone, and a small forest. The eastern sea is mostly empty aside from a sandbar and two small islands. West Located in the western region of Paldea is a city, a town, and a port. The region is mostly hilly and contains a few small rivers as well as a couple ponds and beaches. To the east is a rugged region containing a bamboo grove, some notable waterfalls, and several ponds, including a large pond marked by three watchtowers. The northern sea is known for its rock pillars in the northwest, and also contains some sandbars and rocky islets in the north and northeast. Great Crater of Paldea Located in the center of Paldea is a massive crater covered in clouds surrounded by a ring of mountains. Located inside the crater is Area Zero. Filled with the Paradox pokemon from either the future or the past. Students: Penny - Penny is a slender girl with fair skin, black eyes, and short hair. Her hair is uniquely configured, with the front half being red and the back half being blue. Covering the majority of her torso is a black hoodie with a Poké Ball and yellow writing on it, the hoodie itself being long-sleeved and reaching to her hands.On her legs, Penny wears a transparent skirt with gray short shorts underneath. Underneath the shorts, she dons long gray socks with red plus and blue minus symbols on them. Meanwhile, her feet are protected by calf-length black boots with gray toes and white soles. She also wears round glasses and supports a large Eevee-styled bag on her right arm. Penny's an introverted Pokemon Trainer, she stopped going to the academy due to anxiety and she doesn't seem the most comfortable around people, She also has a habit of being truant, as she doesn't come to the academy she attends very often. She is the Leader of Team Star. She has a team of Eeveevolutions and her attitude tends to be sassy sometimes, but she has a good heart. She is the leader of Team Star. Penny also has a nickname called Cassiopeia, Penny pokemon partner is SylveonDorm room: her room is in dimly light, having a bookshelf with different magazines. The room having a pet bed with some toy for some pet (Penny pet are those Eeveevolutions). Her deck having a great set up computer for her hacking stuff. At the kitchen, it seem a little bit messy with some empty cup noodles, empty cans. Penny is a meek, shy girl with red and blue hair, with a passionate love for anything Eevee related. In fact, her team is filled with Eeveelutions. She's a programmer able to hack into nearly anything, she may contact the player through their rotom-phone under the alias "Cassiopeia". Team star is made up of of neglected teenagers who want to make their bullies pay back, even through violent means, sort of becoming bullies themselves. Arven is a young man with blonde hair and green eyes. He wears a white and purple or orange shirt and necktie with a blue or yellow vest with the school's emblem on the front, purple or orange pants and brown boots. He carries a yellow backpack in his back.He's a Pokemon Trainer in the Academy as well, he likes to cook (most especially make sandwiches), and Arven can be seen as snappy and irritated, Arven is also displayed to cherish those he loves and cares about, majorly evident when he went through great lengths by searching for the Herba Mystica just to cure his injured Mabosstiff. While he also cares for his parents, he was not on good terms with them as they spent their time researching more than a with him but he's a good person, very caring and kind, and adores his Mabosstiff. Arven partner pokemon are also Mabosstiff. room: Arven room is the cleanest room in the whole group, he having some pictures of different paradox pokemon. His kitchen fill with several kitchen tool and lot of rare ingredients. And of course, with that must ingredients goes with a lot of trash on his trash can. Arven is an irate, sassy, yet kind cook. He has a passion for culinary arts, and is on a quest to obtain the Secret Spices, scattered across Paldea, which are protected by huge, hulking Pokèmon known as Titan Pokèmon. Nemona is a young girl of moderately tall stature. She wears the player's school uniform outfit that changes color depending on which game version she is in. Nemona also wears black leggings, a pair of red/white sneakers, and a black/red wrist glove. She also has a green hair streak, as well as a black ponytail hair, orange eyes and several freckles above her nose.Nemona is shown to have a sunny and energetic disposition. Although a powerful and skilled Trainer, she is terrible at throwing Poké Balls. She's a Master Graded Pokemon Trainer. She has a very energetic yet oblivious personality and loves to battle most of the time. She's very nice, although can be a little feisty due to being so hyper, but overall is kind. Nemona partner pokemon are MeowscaradaDorm room: her room having some luxurious looking stuff, with a modern looking bed, table like everything of her room is luxurious (of course, her parents is very rich so.. Yeah). She got a whole closet to put her shoe with some sport item. At her kitchen, she is kinda bad at cooking so it guarantee that there are lot of junk, bad food on her kitchen. Nemona is an excitable champion-class trainer, and a student of Naranja academy. She's playful, nice, perhaps a bit hyperactive, too. She loves Pokémon battles and would never give one up. List of the teachers in academy: Director Clavell has a dignified, scholarly appearance, with neatly parted white hair, a pointed goatee, and round silver-rimmed glasses that enhance his intellectual look. He wears a striking orange/purple blazer with white lapels and buttons over a black shirt and lavender cravat, paired with crisp white trousers and lavender dress shoes. A belt with six Poké Balls around his waist shows his readiness as a trainer. His polished style and upright posture reflect his role as a refined and respected academy director.Being the director of the Academy, Clavell takes his duties very seriously in maintaining discipline. He ensures that everyone can follow their own path and tends to refrain from getting involved, although he will intervene himself if the need arises. Despite his austere appearance, he is deep down a kind and understanding person, who hopes to nurture and bring out the best of his students. Prior to the start of the game, Clavell took the position of director from Harrington following a bullying scandal that caused the former faculty of the academy to resign. One issue that Clavell had was that of Team Star, as its members were constantly skipping classes and breaking many rules. He ultimately decreed that they return or risk expulsion. Professor Sada has a fierce and primal appearance that sets her apart from the typical image of a Pokémon professor. She wears a prehistoric-inspired outfit featuring an orange and black animal-print crop top and matching shorts with jagged edges, adorned with fang-like accessories at the waist. Her look is accessorized with fur-trimmed sandals and leg warmers, as well as a necklace and bracelets that resemble ancient tribal ornaments. Over this wild ensemble, she wears a stark white lab coat, blending her scientific role with her rugged aesthetic. Her long, voluminous brown hair is tied back with orange-striped bands, and she has sharp, confident eyes that reflect her bold and intense personality.Sada had an immense fascination with history of the past and its Pokémon, so much so that she invented a time machine to make contact with the ancient past. She is a highly skilled inventor, with her time machine and robotic counterpart being prime examples. The robotic counterpart is far more advanced than any AI in the game, having retained her personality, memories and also has the ability to experience feelings and computing data. Sada also had a strong desire to protect the time machine she created, taking great measures to keep it safe by installing numerous security systems to the point that her AI counterpart believed that it was all she cared about. However, the AI also remarks that she truly loved her son, another evidence of her love for Arven is the photo of Arven as a toddler and Mabosstiff as a Maschiff together that she has in her lab.At one point, it is presumed Sada married Professor Turo and had a son with him, naming him Arven. As the years progressed, Turo eventually left her, making her more focused on her research and thus having a strained relationship with Arven. She eventually created an artificial intelligence that was identical to her in appearance, and the AI helped her invent a time machine in order to make contact with the past. Discovering living beings couldn't travel through it, Professor Sada instead sent Poké Balls through the time machine that catch Pokémon from the past and bring them to the present, with the first of these Pokémon being Koraidon. Professor Turo has a sleek and futuristic appearance that reflects his focus on advanced technology and the mysteries of the future. He wears a high-tech, form-fitting bodysuit in shades of black and deep purple, with glowing circuit-like patterns running across the chest and legs, giving him a distinctly sci-fi aesthetic. Over this, he dons a traditional white lab coat, grounding his look in his role as a Pokémon professor. His short, neatly groomed silver-gray hair and well-trimmed beard give him a composed and intellectual look. Jacq also participates in the Academy Ace Tournament. Dendra is an energetic person and uses the energy while teaching. She serves as the Battle studies teacher at the academy. In forming bonds with her, she admits that while she is athletic, she is not good at cooking, especially making sandwiches. She improves her cooking by learning more from the player's feedback and practicing with Saguaro. Dendra reveals that she wants to make sandwiches for Miriam as gratitude, since the latter often patches up her injuries. Dendra looks up to Miriam because she is nice and skilled, and she wanted to learn a skill to help others the way Miriam does. She realizes that although she isn't skilled at making sandwiches, she decides to focus on being full of energy.Dendra participates in the Academy Ace Tournament. Miriam serves as the school nurse of the academy. Originally, she worked for a Pokémon Center before joining the academy. She is a friend and former coworker of Model Naiara. Miriam became the academy's nurse after failing to qualify as a health instructor. Raifort serves as the history teacher of the academy. Her classes focus on the history of Area Zero and the Paldean Empire. She is so disinterested in the present that she does not even seem to care about recent history. Saguaro serves as the home economics teacher of the academy. His classes focus on the mechanics of sandwiches and other aspects of picnics. Despite his domestic skills and the fact that many of his Pokémon are on the cuter side, he has a reputation among his students as being cool, stylish, and aloof, which he feels the need to uphold. This prevents him from openly engaging in some of his interests, such as his taste for sweets. He even eats spicy food instead despite not favoring it. Salvatore serves as the language teacher of the academy who also the homeroom teacher for the humanities track. He is a friendly, optimistic, and loving person. His classes stress the importance of communication to help people understand each other's feelings and deescalate conflict. For example, he describes how after a fight with his wife, he made sure to apologize quickly and express his care for her. In addition to speaking many human languages, he also demonstrates how Pokémon communicate their feelings, with the help of a Pikachu. Tyme is Formerly the Gym Leader of Montenevera, she now serves as the mathematics teacher of the academy and the homeroom teacher for the STEM track. She specializes in Rock-type Pokémon. Tyme is the older sister of Ryme.Tyme used to be a Rock-type Gym Leader. She is a kindhearted person and will answer questions when a student or the player is in need. However, she avoids questions relating to why she quit as a Gym Leader, as they make her fill up with nostalgia and sadness. Nevertheless, she enjoys being a teacher at Naranja (UVA) academy. She often scolds Clavell for breaking his own academy's rules, and Hassel for his emotional outbursts during his own classes. She is calm and poised, though at times she demonstrates a more excitable side. Hassel is a member of the Elite Four of the Paldea region and the art teacher at the academy. He specializes in Dragon-type Pokémon. Hassel is a descendant of a long line of Dragon-type Trainers in an unnamed faraway region. He ran away from home as a youth to pursue a dream of "making music", before becoming a member of the Elite Four in the Paldea region as well as an art instructor at the academy. Hassel is shown to be friendly, but very emotional, as he bursts into tears of joy when defeated by the player. He is an old friend of Gym Leader Brassius of Artazon. Team star: Giacomo is the leader of the Segin Squad division of Team Star, the dark type division. He is a class clown kid. He's responsible of the team's soundtrack.Giacomo is a tall young man with a lanky, slim body, and olive complexion. His face is oval shaped with a straight small nose, thick angular eye brows, and droopy, shaded eyes that give him a somewhat mean look contrary to his personality. His black eyes could be described as dull, with white pupils possibly alluding to his eyes being reflective. His black hair comes out in long, upturned wisps, while a few locks frame the sides of his face, giving a wild and rebellious look to his design. Due to his long face, when he smiles, Giacomo appears to have an overbite.For his Team Star outfit, which is a lot more simple compared to the other Bosses, Giacomo wears a school uniform vest (blue in Scarlet, yellow in Violet) with the team logo on the right, with a white shirt left slightly unbuttoned at the collar, while the bottom of the shirt hangs loose under his vest. He also wears black skinny sweatpants, bulky white sneakers, with green shiny plastic on the toe and red shiny plastic on the back cuff. Over his modified school uniform he wears a loose black jacket with a white design along the front and pockets in the shape of a slider on a sound board. On his head he wears a white cotton baseball cap with red and green embroidery to decorate it. The embroidery is in the shape of the symbols for the play button and the fast-forward, rewind and pause buttons.On his back is a bulky black backpack in his back with red, yellow and green rectangles along the zipper, and the straps, referencing the sound bars on a stereo.To complete his DJ look, he wears Poké Ball headphones around his neck and has a white laptop which is a full touch panel PC he uses to DJ and remix music.Giacomo enjoys partying and music, as he also goes by the name DJ Vice and initially refers to the protagonist as a "party crasher". He brings people together, so the rest of Team Star rely on him with the absence of their Boss. Sometimes, he gives one-man surprise concerts with his DJ software to live things up at his Segin Base.Giacomo is actually a by-the-books, kind, compassionate and caring person who is doing his best to look out for his friends. This lead to the other Bosses looking to Giacomo for help to create an Honor Code for the other members to follow. However Giacomo was hesitant, stating he'd been too strict in the past and everyone ended up miserable when he was in charge of enforcing rules (even making up a few very specific ones himself) but eventually he relented and created the Honor Code Team Star uses in-game. t's implied after Giacomo was bullied, he went for an image change, his new self inspired by the Rapping Gym Leader, Rhyme. This leads Giacomo to be very enthusiastic, loud, and friendly, despite often speaking with in a snarky manner, showing he has a sassy side. However, Giacomo seems to avoid being out-right rude or angry towards others, even after being beaten by the Player. His modest, laid back and caring nature despite his past is what gave him a ton of respect as a leader among Team Star. Though thanks to not having the burden of the Student President title, he is able to let his own radical, friendly personality shine in his actions. Ironically, when he acts rebellious and loud, he seems to win the favor of most of his peers, being seen as a fun person to hang with. Though he's also shown to get flustered easily when praised or his softer side is pointed out.Giacomo was initially a straitlaced person and atop student at the academy, at one point even becoming the Student Council President. However, his rigid rules made many of the students miserable and uncomfortable. It was these students who bullied and forced him out of the position. Mela is a fiery, brash girl, leader of the Schedar Squad division, the fire type dvision. She may seem rough and mean at first glance, but she truly means well despite all.Mela is a young woman with short red hair with a strand of yellow hair sticking out, and the top is a pale-yellow color, the bottom looks like it sticks to her face while being fluffy, the top looks like a flower that's facing down, and 'horns' split into two in her hair, as well as freckles and green eyes. She wears a strapless black bodysuit with a white top showing the Naranja or Uva Academy emblem, black finger less gloves, a orange/purple collar and a loose belt, red boots with the Team Star emblem. Mela is described to be very steadfast and firm, always completing any task she has set on in order to maintain the loyalty of her teammates. She also is willing to solve any solution, although her methods of doing so is more heavy handed. Despite appearing tough and prone to anger, Mela is very kind and loyal to her friends. She is also surly, with Eri stating that it was to a way to make the bullies stop picking on her.While attending school, Mela befriended a Charcadet known as Charlos, who was being taken care of by the academy staff. She was bullied by other students due to her cute appearance. Atticus is the leader of the Navi squad division of Team Star, the poison type division. He's a weeb, speaks with Japanese honoraries such as "-San", or "-Sama". He's the teams' fashion designer, and tailor.Atticus wears a customized set of clothes that represent his interpretation of a ninja, utilizing a mismatch of purple, black and green colors. His face is partially concealed by his headwear, although during a cutscene when he is not wearing it, he has silver hair and sapphire blue eyes and his facial feature is shown to be very handsome. Atticus is a highly skilled designer, having designed both his and his fellow leaders' based on his interpretation of them. In contrast to his fellow teammates, Atticus speaks befitting of a noble in medieval times. He frequently addresses Penny as "my lady", showcasing his respect towards her. His eccentric personality reflects his preference for Poison types as he's well aware that people find him strange, but he doesn't care, only wishing to just be himself and not get in anyone's way. He is really kind deep down and shows little hostility towards anyone like when he mentioned he would beg for them to lend him the costume for his friend. Ultimately showing that Poison is just as misunderstood as he is and when you get to understand it, it can be a force for good.Atticus attended the academy but was quickly bullied for his preference of past trends. Ortega is the leader of the Ruchbah Squad division, the fairy type division. He can be devious, self-entitled and even stuck up, but, like every other Team Star member, he isn't truly evil. Ortega is a young boy who wears a pastel pink suit with a red bow at the front with white pants. The back of his shirt and his pants are adorned with various gems. He also carries a scepter with him with a golden Poké Ball and wings on top. His pink hair is styled in an unevenly trimmed bowl cut with the sides shaved. His round purplish pink eyes have a slightly feminine appearance with his long lashes.In contrast to his cutesy appearance, Ortega has a short temper, having a sharp tongue and is somewhat easy to anger. Nonetheless, he cares deeply for Team Star. According to Cassiopeia, he also prefers letting his subordinates handle most of the dirty work for him. Despite this, he truly cares for his friends and wants to make more. He is also a genius mechanic, having designed Team Star's Starmobiles, massively customized Revavrooms.While he does maintain trying to keep a formal and regal appearance, he is acutely aware of how eccentric it makes him and his friends appear, but given the choice, he will ultimately side with his friends even if it means making a fool of himself. He does show a great deal of respect to those he looks up to and is disciplined enough to maintain extracurricular activities such as his piano lessons, indicating that despite his spoiled nature, he does intend to grow to be a fine gentleman, but his young age indicates his desire to have fun and be himself. Ortega is the son of a wealthy family and heir to the family's apparel business in Paldea. However, he ended up being bullied at the academy owing to frequently bragging about his family's wealth, Eri is the leader of the Caph Squad division, the fighting type division. She is quite tall and muscular, and is incredibly determined. She has the heart of a fighter.Eri is a tall girl that themes herself after the lucha libre much like Hawlucha in her Team Star attire. She wears a completely white outfit with knee-high leg warmers and boots underneath. Rather than a luchador mask, she wears face paint with similar styling using blue, pink and purple, with white "fangs" next to her mouth to add a sense of intimidation A black star with a white lightning bolt is above her left eye. The colored used in her outfit are muted, wearing white eye contacts wig of wavy white hair,.Eri is a diligent athlete who uses her discipline experience to lead the team's training regimen. Despite being a powerful and skilled fighter and Trainer with her preference for Fighting-type Pokémon, Eri is extremely kind outside of fighting, she will put safety on the line and fight for her friend's protection. Even after being bullied by her fellow classmates, she took in one of her bullies, a student named Carmen, after she had suffered bullying by her classmates, causing Carmen to become fiercely loyal to her in gratitude.Being one of the oldest members of Team Star, she has a big sister-like mentality to her friends and other students. She does enjoy wrestling and sport fighting, but doesn't enjoy seeing others get hurt, so she often maintains a scary appearance so everyone will likely target her instead of her friends, but after the bullying is formally stopped at the school, she is able to turn her love for sports and reaching out to a positive influence as other students show genuine interest in her wrestling club. Due to her kindness, she can tell when a Trainer's Pokémon have complete trust in their owner. Like Penny, she takes it upon herself to make sure everyone else is okay.Eri originally entered the Naranja Academy/Uva Academy under a sports scholarship. only to be bullied by classmates due to her beauty and talent. The bullying was led by Carmen as she was originally the "queen" in her class before Eri came and took it over Gym/elite 4: Ryme is the younger sister of Tyme Ryme is also a renowned hip-hop artist who often partakes in rap battles. She puts great emotions and passions into both her rapping and her Pokémon battles. She has been a legendary rapper for four decades. As a teen, she wrote a song to express her grief over the death of her Puppy Pokémon. Her singing revived it as a ghost Pokémon. She is still said to "bring the dead to their feet" as the "MC of RIP" the themes of death in her rap music. It is for these reasons that she decided to become a Ghost-type Pokémon Trainer. Montenevera Gym bold and upbeat Iono is a popular streamer and influencer small, thin womanoversized yellow and black jacket with her logo on the front and stylized Poké Balls on the sleeve straps. Beneath the jacket, she wears a silver bodysuit with a screw-like detail at the neck and a black textured outfit underneath, extending to her thighs.
