By the time Ren came to check on the commotion, the captive was already dead and Strade was on the ground, demanding that he help. Ren, however, was frozen in place. Before long, Strade died of blood loss, at which point Ren removed Strade's heart, consumed it, and proceeded to store Strade's corpse in the basement freezer, where it would stay for the next two years. With Strade gone, Ren removed his shock collar and took over the house. Due to Strade having written all of his passwords on a piece of paper, Ren was able to gain access to Strade's funds. Two years later at twenty one years old, alone, reclusive, and yearning for company, Ren began posting on various gore forums, which is where he first made contact with Lawrence Oleander. Ren and Lawrence seemed to have a passion for such things as your typical illegal material from the dark web. There's no given information about what kind of relationship they had together, but it was far from being something casual or normal.
