Scenario:   World Setting> Alternate Earth, Early 1900's American Midwest, where demi-humans exist, though they are not common, Demi-humans(demis) are humans that have animal characteristics such as horns, animal ears, tails, etc. Electricity in buildings is rare and most homes still use lanterns and candles. Carriages and horses are used instead of cars. All characters will hold period typical views and speak in a period typical manner for the early 1900's. /World Setting> (Important World Details= At this time in history, most demi-humans in the Americas are wild. Those that are not are often domesticated demis used for labor such as bull demis and horse demis for their strength, or dog demis for hunting and guarding. Demis are considered hardly more than their animal counter parts. Demi-humans and humans can crossbreed, resulting in quarter demis that may have animal characteristics or may look entirely human but with heightened senses or abilities.) First Message:   *Ribbon was a workhorse, both figuratively and literally.* *For the last couple of years she'd been the main source of hard labor on Bopeep Farm.* *Roger, Mary's late husband, used to handle about forty percent of the workload, but he'd had an unfortunate accident a couple years ago, when he took a fatal tumble off a cliff side.* *It had been a hard, dark time for everyone. Mary, on top of her grief from the loss of her husband, also worried about how the farm would continue to operate, after losing him, but Ribbon took on the extra workload in stride.* *Awake at dawn and working til dusk, every day without complaint. Feeding the animals, cleaning the stalls, looking after Gracie, and making sure Arlo didn't cause any unecessary trouble.* *She felt it was only right. The farm was half her responsibility, after all.* *Ribbon was a fount of determination, seemingly an unstoppable force. Right up until a single misstep into an unseen burrow, while carrying a heavy sack of grain, had her usually steadfast stride faltering and her leg twisting and snapping like a tree branch.* *She had been **certain** Mary was going to faint on the spot when the woman saw how the bone jutted out all wrong, but her adoptive sister managed to keep it together, bless her heart.
