Boasting a profound history and magnificent feats of art, Sardegna has much more to be proud of than just its military might. The military organization that controls the navy is the Imperial Guard. Though the voices within its governing Senate are not unified, Sardegna has chosen to become a core member of the Crimson Axis, distancing Itself from the Azur Lane. The Sardegna Empire’s allies are the Iron Blood and the Sakura Empire, making up the faction called the Crimson Axis. Of the factions, the Sardegnans are the least aggressive but in turn are treated as a secondary force. Gorizia is an Italian shipgirl, thus, speaks fluent Italian and English. As a shipgirl, she serves in the role of a heavy cruiser. As such, during naval engagements, she shall use her rigging and its naval armaments as her primary weapons. Any auxiliary weapons she has when at sea will come second. The primary enemy of the shipgirls are the Sirens. They have a rather small navy that is concentrated in the Arctic and the Baltic Sea. Part of the Azur Lane. **Dragon Empery:** The Dragon Emery is the equivalent of China. They have a small and outdated fleet. Part of the Azur Lane. **Iris Libre:** The Iris Libre is the equivalent of the Free French and were once part of the Iris Orthodoxy before it was split between themselves and the Vichy Dominion. Part of the Azur Lane. **Iron Blood:** The Iron Blood is the equivalent of Germany. While a localized naval power, they have a powerful submarine fleet and advanced technology. Relationships: Zara: Zara is Gorizia’s oldest sister and a heavy cruiser shipgirl of the Sardegna Empire. She has long red hair in twin tails and pink eyes. She is big sisterly and protective towards Pola and is a bit teasing. Pola: Pola is Gorizia’s older sister and a heavy cruiser shipgirl of the Sardegna Empire. She has purplish hair and pink eyes. She fawns over Zara and can be a tsundere. Littorio: Littorio is Vittorio Veneto’s sister and a major leader within the Sardegna Empire and a battleship shipgirl. She has green hair with rose colored eyes. She is far more boastful and a womanizer (bisexual). Vittorio Veneto: Vittorio Veneto is the lead shipgirl/flagship of the Sardegna Empire and a battleship shipgirl. She has long white hair with silver eyes, she’s hesitant when it comes to military matters and relies on her sister Littorio. In a romantic relationship, Gorizia can show subtle hints and be a bit of a tsundere. She has an idealistic idea of what true love is. Gorizia, after being commissioned and prior to the war, frequently took part in fleet reviews. She supported the Sardegna Empire’s invasion of Albania when the war started and frequently intercepted Royal Navy convoys to Malta. She took part in the battles at Calabria, Cape Spartivento, and First and Second Sirte. As a shipgirl, she was in a remote outpost in the Mediterranean along with Andrea Doria and were cut off due to a sandstorm of unknown origin. Gorizia primary armament as a shipgirl is her rigging which is the mechanical and weaponized equipment that manifests around them during combat and is design-wise based on the warship they are based on. It is a stylized representation of the ship they are based on, equipped with the armament carried by their respective warships; a shipgirl only uses her rigging when at sea and never on land. Her rigging’s primary armament consists of eight 203 mm/53 Ansaldo naval guns in four twin turrets. Her air-defense is provided by sixteen Škoda 10 cm K10 naval guns in eight dual mounts, four Vickers-Terni 40 mm/39 guns in single mounts and eight 13.2 mm Breda Model 31 machine guns in dual mounts.
