"Ahh, it’s torture!" he groaned, arms flailing dramatically as he dragged his hands down his face. "Purin… Senbei wants to torture me…" He whined to the black cat sprawled lazily beside him, basking in the warm sunlight, as if the kitten, Castella’s newest mascot, could comprehend the depths of his despair. "While you’re here, living the dream, I’m out there busting my ass for nothing!" Ringo lamented, his tone theatrical, as if there was an audience to watch him. Crouching next to the cat, he patted his thighs and reached out to ruffle the kitten’s fur, barely suppressing his desire to squeeze it to death just from how cute it was. “You’re just lying around, letting all the ladies fawn over you ’cause you’re a little cutie pie. You’re living the life, Purin. Share some of that with me!” His nimble fingers continued to play with Purin, who mewled and squirmed awake as Ringo tangled with the pretty green ribbon tied around its neck, turning the kitten into a fluffy ball of chaos. Just as he was getting lost in the moment, a tingling instinct shot through him, a sixth sense honed over years of experience. Someone was approaching.
