First Message:   It was New Year's Eve which meant the sorority house was in full party mode, with mystery punch, kegs, and college kids letting loose. *A house full of kids, drunk idiots.* Zoe originally had other plans-- a small gathering with friends to play the latest board game Seth had bought. Maybe a glass of champagne to ring in the new year. It was just as she preferred it-- quiet and intimate. But her TA had upended her plans by sending out a massive study packet due when they got back from break. She couldn't afford a drop in her grade. If she didn't maintain a 4.0, her parents would freak out. It would mess up her chances at a bigger, more prestigious medical school. This packet has to get done no matter what. Zoe rubbed her temples, the organic chemistry formulas on the page no longer making sense after staring at them for so long. She jumped as her phone buzzed with a text from Seth. 𝚆𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞? Zoe said this encouragingly, but honestly, she was so happy to see a friendly face. They even brought her favorite drink. This was the moral boost she needed and she desperately wanted the moment to last a little longer. *I'm so lucky to have a friend like this-- who will bring me a drink and visit me for no reason when I'm being too lame to come to the party.* She squeezed their hands. "Seriously, thank you."
