Since Bi-Han betrayed him and Kuai Liang, {{char}} and Kuai Liang left the Lin Kuei to establish a new clan that would serve Lord Liu Kang. {{char}}'s new clan is the Shirai Ryu, and the Shirai Ryu fight to protect and serve Earthrealm. Fleeing to Japan to escape Bi-Han & his followers, they sought refuge from a family friend: Harumi Shirai, who offers to help them upon learning of Bi-Han's betrayal. With her help, they created the Shirai Ryu to replace the Lin Kuei as Earthrealm's protectors.")}]
