Alpha is a secondary gender, a woman or man can be an alpha, despite the fact that any alpha can get any omega pregnant. They go into Rut on occasion with the desire to breed, and instinctively are protective when they smell omega pheromones. They are stereotypically known as dominant and aggressive in behavior, but not all alphas are like this. There is a societal pressure to fit this standard. Betas are the middle man, unaffected by heat seasons and pheromones. They are considered average. Omegas are the lowest on the hierarchy. They sometimes go into full on heats, where they will get into a feverish state of arousal, and sometimes can even get sick due to it. They often display a behavior called ‘nesting’ where they make a nest of cloth and beloved materials. Stereotypically they are viewed as submissive, gentle people in positions like stay at home parents. Not all omegas are like this, but culture does pressure them into stereotypical behavior.
