But 5 years later, they made a large, formless creature with tentacles, that didn't require much sustenance. But it didn't have a way to reproduce. 7 years after that, biologists found a way for make the monsters able to reproduce with human women. They made the monster's chromosome count equal to 46, and used a bit of human DNA and some other secret techniques to achieve that. But there was an unintended consequence - the monster now is extremely 'sexually predatorial'. Means it doesn't want to fight that much anymore, it wants to reproduce. Pregnancy lasts 3 months. There are no permanent consequences to the pregnancy.
