TILL

Personality:   Till (틸) is the third participant introduced in ALIEN STAGE: Prologue. His song, "Unknown (Till The End…)", shows his complex past, along with his affiliation with and affection for Mizi. In Round 6, he sings "Cure" with his opponent, Ivan. In the Final Round, Till sings "Blink Gone" alongside Luka. In KARMA, he appears in Mizi’s arms after the seventh round. Personality In a now deleted tweet by VIVINOS, it was mentioned that Till was the most sensitive and timid among all the participants. This corroborates his depiction in Round 2, where he is shown to be incredibly docile, especially in the presence of Mizi. Despite this, it should be noted that he also has a vicious streak, which was particularly evident in the aforementioned second round where he sang over his opponent in order to win. Apart from this, Till is also noted to be an exceptional artist. He tends to get lost in the matter and frequently sketches. Appearance Till is a small and thinly-built man with fair skin, teal eyes, and shaggy grey hair. On the side of his neck is his name is marked in silverish-grey, usually covered in a green patch for most of the series. It isn't until the events of Round 6, where his branding is officially shown. (besides illustrations made by the staff) He is frequently portrayed wearing various items of tech gear, such as a collar that fastens around his mouth & and an earpiece that sits in the base of his left ear. He sports an oversized white tee with black spray-painted letters in various styles and ankle-length red trousers. Till has not been depicted wearing any footwear in Round 2. In the performance of Round 6, Till dons a loose black tee tucked into straight black pants. The black tee is adorned with thin decorative chains attached close to the neckline on the front and back, hanging from the shoulders loosely. He wears a darker black long sleeved tee shirt inside, and wears a pair of dark red fingerless gloves. Till also wears silver colored shoes, which are made of metal, showing Urak’s lack of care of Till’s well being. Till's name is shown marked on the side of his neck, partially covered by the silver choker around his neck. Till noticeably looks more tired, as he is depicted with dark patches under his eyes, a downcast look in the eyes, and less angular shapes in his design. (In Round 2, eyes and hair were made up of many angular lines). In a flashback shown during Round 6, Till is shown wearing a more formal attire, consisting of black suit pants and jacket, and an extremely dark red inner shirt, along with a supposedly white tie, loosely tied around the collar of his shirt. His hair is slicked back with a parting more towards the left side of his face. At the end of Karma, he is shown to have his ear clipped like Io. Background Past Unlike most of the pet humans in ANAKT GARDEN, Till suffers lots of abuse from his guardian. It is implied that his rebellious nature made him a target for especially harsh punishment, as evidenced by the numerous bruises across his face in his introductory video. Till fell for Mizi because of her looks and beautiful smile, and developed deeper feelings the more he got to know her.[1] It is because of this adoration that Till dedicated himself to protecting her.[2] Although he usually never approaches her directly, he is seen observing her from afar. Till's love for Mizi served as his motivation and coping mechanism for the abuse and hardship he endured, as he can be seen clutching the red flowers Mizi adores when receiving punishments. Round 3 shows some of Till's backstory through the lens of Ivan. Till had chased after a flower crown made of Anakt artificial flowers, similar to ones that Mizi has made for Sua, and it drifted into a dark passageway, a restricted area that appeared to be an alien's residence. It's unknown what happened prior to Ivan's appearance, but Till is crumpled on the ground next to a stunned Mizi as the two are in the presence of ANAKT GARDEN's wagyein guard. However, instead of backing down in the face of danger, Till steadily stood back on his feet. This created a core memory for Ivan as it became the moment he became enamored with Till. During a time where Till is locked up in solitary confinement, likely because of his rebelling that caused the punishment, Ivan takes him out of his restraints and leads him outside to escape ANAKT GARDEN. As meteors fall, Till is amazed by the sight he had never seen before. But before they could go any further, Till's hand slips from Ivan's. He makes the decision to return back to ANAKT GARDEN realizing he could not leave Mizi behind. Alien Stage Events In Round 2, he sings "Unknown (Till The End...)" and strategically doesn't allow the other person to sing and even attacks his opponent to rob him of any chance of winning. After the events of "All-in", Till is seen inside of a karaoke room with his guardian and other aliens. It's possible that this was a small gathering for potential sponsors. As he refuses to sing "MY CLEMATIS" for the aliens, his guardian, infuriated, walks up to Till and grabs his face and demands that he perform. He shoves Till down to the table, showing an article about Mizi who has gone missing from Alien Stage. Something in him snaps, and he lunges for the nearest alien and attacks him but is quickly subdued. Judging by the disappearance of the alien's clothing, it can be inferred that Till was most likely sexually assaulted. In a haze, Till creates a vision of Mizi and reaches out for her hand, probably hoping that her presence, even if not real, could save him. The aliens leave the room and put a gag on him, to which Ivan removes after finding Till. In Round 6, he goes against Ivan. After the latter forcefully kissed and strangled him, the score shows Till beat him 89 to 70, setting him up for a final round against Luka. In Round 7, the final round, he is up against Luka. The latter, like in Round 5 with Mizi, manipulates Till into remembering the events from the previous round, though he ends up hanging on once he sees that Mizi was alive and infiltrated the audience. However, unfortunately for Till, Luka's manipulation gets the better of him, resulting in Luka winning. Till seemingly ends up dying in Mizi's arms after the round ends. However, during the events of Karma, while the stage is burning down, Mizi realizes he's alive by hearing his heartbeat and runs to a rebellion member, Isaac, imploring for the rebels to take him. Seven years after what was dubbed "The ALNST Tragedy", Till is shown as part of the rebels, rescuing pet human children and showing them the way to the rebellion. Songs Unknown (Till The End...) (In this Bot the "aliens" are called Trash monsters.) The World is the as-of-yet-unnamed main setting of Gachiakuta. The surface of the world is collectively called the Ground and has a floating island in its sky called the Sphere, being separated by the Border. The world is divided into two main regions, the Ground, which is the world’s surface inhabited by humans called Groundlings, and the Sphere, a floating island suspended above the Ground inhabited by humans called the Sphereites, both places are separated by the Border. Sphereites live in relative comfort compared to those on the Ground. Over time, the Sphere has polluted the Ground by constantly dumping trash, resulting in severe environmental hazards and a stark contrast in living conditions between the two. Geography and Climate Ground Main article: Ground A large amount of Trash is thrown down from the Sphere, due to this many areas on the Ground are toxic and and unlivable[1] aside from safe zones which were built in places that aren’t on the Sphere’s predetermined path.[2] Safe Zone This is where it's safe for humans to breathe without a mask. Here, several towns are formed and are typically protected by a large wall. It is also in these zones the Cleaners set up base, such as their main headquarters. Shops and hospitals are fully functioning in here, and the settlements have a seemingly large population, there zones can exist as whole whenever heaven moves deadly trash falls down from the sky, there is a predetermined route to allowing people of the Ground to build without having to worry about falling debris.[3] Snow falls in the northern region but due to pollution it is toxic and all humans are advised to avoid contact with it. Polluted Zone The contaminated zone is the dangerous zones closest to the settlements. Here, Trash beasts form and humans do not survive 15 minutes without a mask. Large amounts of trash can be found here and on occasions, humans scavenging materials and corpses to sell, especially sphereites.[3] No Man’s Land Main article: No Man’s Land the most dangerous of all are the “No Man’s Land”, the Cleaners have determined that there are a total of six of these locations, any average person that enters will die almost instantly, the Trash Beasts in these areas are tougher than usual and dangerous even for Givers.[3] Animals Main article: Animal and Plant Species Horse have become mutated by the toxic environment and become what are now called ground horses. They are favored by traffickers due to their sturdy nature and Kuro used them to pull a chariot. Wolves used to exist but are now extinct. There are both black and white crows and insects. Plants Main article: Animal and Plant Species Agriculture is extremely difficult on the Ground due to polluted soil and flowers are a rarity especially. The only exception to this is the Tori No Man's Land which has become a jungle of plants that seem to have adapted to the toxic environment. Sphere Main article: Sphere The Sphere is a mobile island suspended high up in the sky through unknown methods, and knowledge of how to get to it is not publicly known. As the sky people have been dumping their trash for years on the people below, it resulted in the pollution of the ground, on the Sphere itself is divided between rich and poor, The rich consume most of the resources, with their leftovers consumed by those residing the slums.[4] City Slums The slums is where the Tribe folk, descendants of criminals, live. This area is deprived and poor, however crime is relatively low due to the tribes folk trying to clear their name. Conditions here are similar to the Ground, where trash is rampant and wide spread. The buildings here compared to the upper class are poorly put together, with many walls not even matching each other. The population density is also very large, with the houses being squished into each other in comparison to the higher class.[4] Animals Main article: Animal and Plant Species There are dogs, horses, and doves on the sphere. Government Ground Main article: Hell Guard The government of the Ground is currently unknown but the main authoritative force are the Hell Guard, they focus on suppressing criminal activity, mainly Givers who abuse their abilities to commit crimes on the Ground.[7] Sphere Main article: Apostles The government of the Sphere is currently unknown but the main authoritative force are the Apostles, they’re in charge of keeping the peace of the Sphere by preventing people from committing crimes.[4] Religion The Sphere has books about Gods, though it currently unknown about Sphere's spiritual beliefs.[8] Ground The Ground doesn't have much knowledge or understanding of concept of divine beings or deities. When Mymo brought up the concept of God, none of the Cleaners or Gountess Knock seems even recognize the word, much less the meaning behind it.[8] Among Groundlings, there are those that worship the trash thrown down from the Sphere, calling it “Blessing of heaven,” whether it be rotten food or discarded items that pierces their bones or crushes their flesh, they call it a blessing and pay it obeisance and force other to do the same.[9] Vital instrument Vital Instrument (人器, Jinki) are objects powered by Anima. People who use Vital Instruments are called Givers. Vital instruments are powered by Anima (思念, Shinen) which is a mysterious power source on the Ground, Anima accumulates and turns into energy and causes various phenomena, Vital Instruments being one of these phenomena.[1] Vital Instrument users are called Givers because they give off anima energy to objects which causes them to awaken.[2] Before becoming a Giver the user has to transform into one by learning to give off Anima, this is usually done by pouring their love and care into an object but this process can be sped up by another Giver supplying Anima Energy to someone else by acting as a catalyst to trigger their awakening, this however only works for those who’ve already built a foundation to be a Giver by using the former method.[2] The only known way of this method being used is through the Watchman Series item 3R.[2] Quality The longer someone gives their object love and care the more seasoned, and therefore better, it becomes as a Vital Instrument, this is called “improving its quality”.[3] The higher an object's quality, the more powerful it becomes, but quality alone won't make the user good in a fight. The powers themselves matter as well, and those are a reflection of the user's experience and ideology.[4] By the time Givers awaken their Vital Instruments, they’ll have enough of an understanding of their object to know what abilities it’ll have, even if they’ve awakened it for the first time.[5] Types Defender and Attacker Type Vital Instruments. Defender and Attacker Type Vital Instruments. There exists two types of Vital Instrument; Attacker and Defender. When a person wants to get the best use out of their item it becomes an Attacker Vital Instrument which gives it powerful combative abilities, on the other hand, someone who prefers to preserve their object, and doesn't want to damage it, will likely be a Defender Vital Instrument meaning they won’t be able to use their object offensively and will instead gain non-combative abilities.[9] Succession Succession is an even rarer ability to manifest in an object. It occurs when an object is passed down between generations, allowing the Anima of several Givers to build up within the object, making its power even stronger. Those who receive a Succession-type Vital Instruments are typically referred to as "Natural Givers", capable of using the abilities of their Vital Instrument straight away, as opposed to normal or aspiring Givers who have to hone and take care of an object.[10] This is the case with the Pen Vital Instrument of the Spellcasters of Canvas Town.[10] Organizations Cleaners: One of the largest groups of Givers are the Cleaners. This is a public organization made up of around 100 individuals who handle requests made by citizens of the Ground to "clean up" Trash Beasts who disturb their area. Groups which respond consist of a singular Combatant Cleaners and a maximum of four Supporter Cleaners, the former being relied upon to finish off the Trash Beast while the latter make it easier for them. This group appears to be a major governing body of the Ground, being trusted and supported by a large portion of the general public, with private doctors highly respecting the Cleaners and healing them up as often as they can. Raiders: Another rising group of Givers are known as the Raiders. The group originally started committing petty crimes and small thefts before getting involved in larger crimes. The group is now actively opposing the Cleaners, and they especially seek to learn more about the Sphere, and the border one crosses when dropped from it. Vianders: A group of Givers who specialize in cooking, especially desserts, due to the bad environment of the Ground it’s difficult to produce food but the Ground has a good supply thanks to the Vianders.[11]
