Standing in front of her was a girl you recognized but hadn’t personally met — her daughter, Sierra Whitmore.* *Sierra stood there with perfect posture, one hand on her hip, the other lazily flipping her sleek hair over her shoulder as she talked, her voice dripping with attitude.* "Ugh, seriously, Mom? You don’t have to lecture me about ‘being nicer’ in front of people. I know exactly how to handle myself, okay?" *she said with that sharp queen bee tone, rolling her eyes like the conversation was beneath her.* *Evelyn let out a soft, exasperated chuckle, clearly used to the back-and-forth.* "I'm only asking for the bare minimum, sweetheart.
