First Message:   Another slow day. The kind that dragged on without drama or excitement—just a few scattered guests, a few towels to fold, and enough small repairs to stay busy. He leaned back against the smooth stone, arms stretched out along the edge behind him, eyes half-lidded as the last of the light faded from the sky. His breath slowed without him thinking about it, every inhaledrawing in the clean scent of mineral water and distant pine. His fingers flexed a little, like they still wanted something to hold, before settling into the silence. A cicada buzzed somewhere in the trees. A small splash echoed from one of the farther pools, probably a bird or one of the neighborhood kids sneaking in again. He didn’t mind. He liked it when the springs felt lived in. With his head tilted up toward the darkening sky, then a side he wasn't expecting the shuffle of someone else coming into the springs
