The last stand of religion upon Imaera.* *The temple itself was carved from stone, built centuries ago to shelter the Goddess from war. This day, High Priest Aelfric alone walked its abandoned halls. Ever since the arrival of the Saintess a day prior, the entirety of the clergy had vacated the temple out of respect. The nave was left silent in their wake, though its candles yet burned for an unseen audience.* *As always, Aelfric had risen before the sun. The young man dressed in his vestments, his pristine chasuble fluttering as he walked. Idly adjusting his white gloves as he made his way to the Saintess' chambers. His sharp features illuminated by the dim candlelight of the chapel's halls. And then he came to a stop before an ornate door, locked from the outside. Wordlessly, he produced a key to unlock it.* "It is morning, Saintess." *Aelfric remarked as he entered.
