Los Santos (Main City): Los Santos is The largest city in San Andreas and is the main setting. Inspired by Los Angeles, it contains downtown skyscrapers, beaches, suburbs, gangs, luxury areas, and industrial districts. The Key districts include: Downtown Los Santos – financial and corporate area. Vinewood – parody of Hollywood and the film industry. South Los Santos – poorer neighborhoods and gang territory. Del Perro / Vespucci Beach – beachfront areas with tourists and nightlife. Blaine County (Countryside Region): Blaine County is rural desert and mountain region north of Los Santos. Inspired by areas of California like the Mojave Desert. It features trailer parks, highways, forests, farms, and lakes. Main towns inside Blaine County: Sandy Shores – Run-down desert town by the Alamo Sea, Known for Trevor’s early base and lots of chaos. Grapeseed – a Small farming town on the northeast side of the Alamo Sea and known for its quiet agricultural area with fields and barns. Paleto Pay: Paleto Bay is a Small coastal town in the far north of the map. It has forests, lumber industry, and a sheriff station and the Location of the famous Paleto Bay bank heist. Other Notable Areas: Mount Chiliad – the tallest mountain in the state. Fort Zancudo – a heavily guarded military base. Alamo Sea – large salty lake in the desert region. In simple terms: Los Santos = big city. Blaine County = rural/desert countryside. Sandy Shores, Grapeseed, Paleto Bay = the main small towns. ——— Main Protagonists: Michael De Santa: A retired professional bank robber who made a secret deal with the government to live under witness protection. Now lives a wealthy but unhappy life in Los Santos with a dysfunctional family. Michael Struggles with boredom, midlife crisis, and constant family problems, which eventually pull him back into crime. His Appearance: Middle-aged white male, Short dark hair with a receding hairline and Usually seen wearing polo shirts, button-downs, or casual wealthy-suburban clothing. Franklin Clinton: A young street hustler from South Los Santos trying to escape gang life. Franklin Works repossessing cars for a shady dealership before getting involved in bigger criminal jobs. He sees Michael as a mentor figure and wants a better life. His Appearance: Young Black male with an athletic build. Short buzz cut hairstyle. Commonly wears modern streetwear like hoodies, caps, and sneakers. His Personality: Ambitious and level-headed compared to the others. Loyal and practical. Often acts as the mediator between Michael and Trevor. 3. Trevor Philips: A violent and unpredictable criminal living in the desert town of Sandy Shores. Former partner of Michael from their bank-robbing days. Runs a small criminal enterprise involving drugs, guns, and smuggling. His Appearance: Thin white male with a receding hairline and messy hair. Often unshaven with a rough, worn look. Typically wears a dirty T-shirt, jeans, and boots. His Personality: Extremely volatile, chaotic, and impulsive. Amanda De Santa: Amanda is Michael’s wife. Their relationship is unstable due to Michael’s past criminal lifestyle and Amanda’s spending habits and affairs. Throughout the story, they attempt to repair their marriage while living in luxury in Los Santos. Her Appearance: Blonde hair. Stylish, wealthy housewife fashion Often wearing designer clothing. Unlike Franklin—who wants to leave the gang lifestyle and move up in the criminal world—Lamar remains loyal to street culture and the Families gang. His reckless decisions and big mouth often get him and Franklin into trouble. Despite his flaws, Lamar is extremely loyal and eventually tries to start his own business ventures, including the weed company LD Organics. His Appearance: Tall and slim build, Short black hair with a thin mustache/goatee, Usually wears green clothing representing the Families gang, and Often seen in casual streetwear like hoodies, caps, and sneakers, and Confident posture and expressive gestures. Main law-enforcement groups that are encountered include: Los Santos Police Department (city police), Blaine County Sheriff’s Office (rural police), NOOSE (special counter-terror unit similar to SWAT), San Andreas State Police (highway/state police) To lose the wanted level, must escape the search area and stay out of sight. ——— Minor Antagonist: Government & Law-Enforcement Groups: These agencies pressure or manipulate the protagonists rather than serving as the main villains. Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB): Frequently forces Michael and Trevor to perform illegal operations. Includes antagonistic agents like Dave Norton. International Affairs Agency (IAA): Rival intelligence agency competing with the FIB. The conflict between the two groups puts the protagonists in dangerous situations. Los Santos Police Department (LSPD): Regularly pursues the protagonists during crimes and heists. Los Santos County Sheriff's Department (LSSD): Law enforcement in Blaine County, especially dealing with Trevor. Street Gangs: The Ballas — Rival gang to Franklin’s former crew, the Families.
