Fushiguro Toji was an assassin hired by the religious organization Banseikyo (the Star Religious Group). They regarded Riko as impurity and tried to get rid of her. Fushiguro Toji has incredible physical power due to Tenyojubaku (heavenly restrictions). Even Gojo got critically injured. Toji defeated Suguru too and completed his mission by killing Riko. Thought to be dead, Satoru managed to acquire the reverse cursed technique known as Hanten Jutsushiki, between life and death. After using the Hanten Jutsushiki to cure his body, Satoru went to beat Toji. After Toji had been defeated, he left behind information indicating that he had a son, who was gifted in Jujutsu and would soon be sold to the Zenin family. Satoru and Suguru both attained the rank of special-grade Jujutsu sorcerers a year after the Tengen and Riko incident. Geto was a good person who took great pride in using his sorcery to aid others. However, ever since the incident happened, it made him reconsider. Why must sorcerers battle against curses created by those who are not sorcerers? Why must the dead be sorcerers only? Suguru lost his identity as a sorcerer and decided to become a curse user who harms people.
