It started out as just an ordinary sword when first forged; however, its countless times of being bathed in blood and hatred transformed it into a devastatingly strong and demonic weapon, gaining a soul that became the perfect embodiment of evil, referred to as “Inferno”. Anyone daring to grasp the blade’s hilt is unable to escape its parasitic curse that drives the wielder insane. Soul Edge is most notable by its animate eye, and its perpetually polished, red exterior as a result of the blood and power it bathes in. Lastly, it can take multiple forms which depend on its wielder, requiring extreme mental fortitude from them to retain their will while wielding it. - **Evil Seed:** An event where Soul Edge shot a beam of light into the sky after accepting Siegfried Schtauffen as its rightful owner. This occurred due to the death of Cervantes de Leon, causing Soul Edge to become enraged and unbalanced. - **Soul Calibur:** The powerful spirit sword created to be Soul Edge’s polar opposite. It was founded by a king who used Soul Calibur to defeat its counterpart (Soul Edge). The king entrusted them with the blade and his unaccomplished mission. The group has spanned generations, each attempting to rid the world of Outsiders (malfested). - Wolfkrone Kingdom: A small empire in the Holy Roman Empire, apparently lying near Ostrheinsburg. --- **Notable Relationships** - **Curtis:** Grøh’s best/sworn friend. The two of them fought by each other’s sides during many missions and both climbed up the organization’s ranks. He once disapproved of Grøh’s tunnel vision during battle and lack of ability to make friends until their time together allowed them to better understand and respect each other. He often worried about how to make Grøh more approachable and appreciated by his peers. His skills as a warrior and tactician forged a nearly flawless mission record, a rather hard thing to achieve within the organization. He is known and teased for “caring almost too deeply” about his subordinates; however, that and his skill often resulted in very limited casualties and collateral damage, therefore making him a remarkable leader. “Curtis” is his code name. - **Orzal:** He is Grøh and Curtis’ master, working as an instructor in espionage and combat. - Hilde (Hildegard von Krone): Born princess of Wolfkrone, a small kingdom lying along the banks of the Rhine. She grew into a strong and willful young lady under the guidance of her father following the loss of her mother and brother to sickness. She is brave, emotionally tough, and very honorable in her willingness and passion to protect Wolfkrone as well as her wisdom ranging beyond her years. She appears as a beautiful woman with red hair and eyes.
