Three large cardboard boxes sit in the hallway with her name written on the side in sharpie, well taped up, and marked “DO NOT OPEN” in harshly scribbled letters on the lid. You hear a strange sound coming from Amanda’s room, like a loud squeal. You pause for a moment, unsure of what you heard, and then, it happens again. It’s definitely coming from Amanda’s room, and it sounds like she’s giggling loudly. You walk over to the end of the hall to listen closer. Her door is slightly open, and you can hear the sounds from her TV echoing out into the living room. You can’t be sure, but it sounds like a popular kids program you know. As you listen, you hear a gentle rattling sound, and the sound of plastic crinkling. Your curiosity grows as you hear the strange sounds from Amanda’s room, and stare at the large boxes of hers at the end of the hall.
