He is an demonic semi-retired supervillain who is seemingly the embodiment of evil in every Cartoon Network media, by selling the dangerous weapons, traps, and other devices to much supervillains alike (notably Cartoon Network villains) in their respective universes in hopes of them trying to accomplish with their schemes (although in reality, most of the many villains have actually failed him). He is also the Boss of Dr. Flug, Demencia, and 5.0.5. whom he lives with and for the latter's to help along with his work. Biography Past Black Hat's past is fully unknown. Although not confirmed, it's implied that he's existed as being evil his entire life. He first appears in the 1-minute web videos, where he would advertise his weapons for villains to buy, one of the early instances of Black Hat was in The Lost Cases of Ooo where he is seen putting a woman infront of a train in a black and white photo. Villain Orientation In the first episode from The Missing Cases of Ooo, Black Hat welcomes the viewer who brought the direct-to-video for encouragement for villains of the Black Hat Organization where he mock the pathetic shame of the forces of evil chaotic starting with the most chaotic and abominable villains of the world today, before cutting off when he see the Earl of Lemongrab questioning if it was a villain or is it a joke before realising to actually be the case. Black hat calls Lemongrab;s flaw of unacceptable is this person's extremely arrogant attitude, Black Hat is shown disgusted over Princess Bubblegum showing compassion to Finn in the footage and belittle's Lemongrab for not buying his own security system from Black Hat Organization. He calls 5.0.5 too write an example of Lemongrab's flaw while he then rips apart the case file, believing to be a mistake, seeking to know if there was a real villain somewhere as he throws the torn file at the camera. Black hat comments that Lemongrab's "torture room, so bare there are chains, what are the failures? I could escape at any moment" he would then take satisfaction with seeing Fin, Jake and the Pup-gang electrocuted by saying that "The screams of a Hero in suffering always put a smile on my face" when Lemongrab electrocutes his prisoners. When he sees finn escape, he advises that "Rule 42 when fighting: do not attack your opponent until their heart stops beating" and criticises bubblegum who "won't fix any mistakes" and predicts that the two lemongrabs would eat each other, which he would change the footage to see bubblegum cutting off her subject's feet with scissors before concluding Lemongrab's errors: (1. one is a complete piece of... lemon, (2. In the second episode of The Missing Case Files of Magic Sword, Black Hat, he mentions at the beginning an ancient technique he has use named The Skin-Changer as he goes on to explain that it means taking the place of the Hero, their way of speaking, their aroma and friendship before reviewing Nohiyas, calling him an pathetic excuse for a villain who has use that said technique onto Prohyas Warrior, Black Hat reveals that Nohiyas started his path of villainy from a young age when he brought a "My Villainy Kit" from the Black Hat Organization which includes a bottle of poison, a spell book, a necronomicon for kids, a fake moustache, Handbook for villains, Amnesia Magisword and a black Hat. Black hat started to analyse the childhood of Nohiyas becoming irritated by both a young Nohiyas and Prohyas yelling at each other as he smashes his desk, Black Hat then stops the footage where he scribbles with a red marker with thoughts of burning the harvest, the flora and Fauna along with the Country of Heroes before the clip continues where he later explains why he included the amnesia Magisword in the Villainy kid as to help young villains take care of their failure and humiliation before skipping onto Prohyas's adolescence, where a scene of both the latter along with Prohyas seated together in class as Black Hat would given the fact that "A great resource to weaken the Hero is making him uncomfortable with your mere presence" as the screen shows his own demonic distorted face. Black Hat would teach the antidote fro the "truth Serum" demonstrated by Prohyas's teacher to ensure that the person's lies are durable and poisonous, Black Hat interrupts the ingredients of the "Truth Serum" explanation with red light as he telling the viewer to go to the ninth circle of Hell and mix poison of dishonest viper, then a picture of Pinocchio getting his nose sawed off by (presumably) Black Hat with a saw then abrupting again with finding wooden teeth from a guy named Jorge and telling the viewer to gargle the antidote where they can speak lies left and right. Black Hat calls Nohyas a screw up for using the amnesia magi sword again to brainwash everyone in his own classroom when leaving, and give only two options compared to using the Amnesia Magisword again and again and again as the camera feed cuts through his previous encounters with the Warriors for Hire, until ending with the latter to stop failing and hire the services of the Black Hat Organization as he passes a contract and pen towards the viewer from his own camera feed. Black Hat then reviewed Prohyas's adulthood where he gave a response when both Warriors were looking for their new magiswords by saying "Rule 37: Find out what the Hero desires and take over it" while also critizing the "Warriors for Hire" Headquarters by giving out that "a liar must be the reflection of the personality and grandness of it's inhabitants, Not a stupid Cabin! pathetic heroes" and later pauses when Prohyas's hand puppet Vambre by saying "When you use the Skin changing technique in pairs... DONT. USE. YOUR HANDS!" criticising the villain's stupidity of dressing his hand puppet and trying to take over the identity of someone, which indirectly offends 5.0.5's hand puppet of Dementia. Black Hat explains one of the advantages of being an evil entity who is not limited by morality is to use the same techniques form your enemy against him, but even more effectively, He then pauses again by scribbling out pictures of Prohyas, Vambre and Nohyas by addressing that you never, ever forget that your a villain or stop thinking you're a hero as he scribbles Nohyas's picture in rage. When the Warriors for Hire introduce their Snowball and Pencil Magisword, Black Hat introduces his own version of his own "Black Hat Magisword" to the viewer where he would demonstrate by channeling a black red ray to destroy a green planet all the way towards space, completely exploding the planet in the process. Black Hat mocks Prohyas's performance by calling him an "animal" for his lack of aim and forgetfulness to finish of the heroes when he had a chance by explaining why he didn't cut them in half as both the warriors were standing together like fools and believes Nrohyas has forgotten himself as the Villain, He would then give advice of "letting your heroes escape after beating them, you give them a chance to learn how to beat you on the next confrontation" before moving on to point out Prohyas's inept flaw of foolishly using the dock magi sword to seal himself alongside Vambre to be trapped in a cave only to become enraged when Nohyas uses the Jackhammer magi sword to free the heroes, exclaiming that the heroes would died slowly and painfully. Black hats moves on where Nrohyas is using a Amnesia Magisword which lead to aimless attacks that frustrated Black hat by calling him "hopeless" and buried into anger when Nrohyas stupidly hands over the Amnesia Magisword to Prohyas impersonating him, calling out that it's the worst fate a skin changer can go through by being defeated by the same technique but poorly and pathetically executed and questions himself how prohyas despite following "the kits instruction foot by foot" in a ridiculous trap saying that it was unacceptable that he was defeated by something so simple, pathetic and disgraceful as a paperbag, further adding "of how much of a loser you have to be o think about sing one in public" Black Hat's comment indirectly devastated Dr. Fly who sheds a tear. Black hat becomes further enraged of Nohyas wasting his products in something as ridiculous as friendship as he correct himself by adding "My services are to create chaos and destruction! not to make Friends" as he cuts off the clips by describing the errors of Nohyas: 1.) bad use of products from the black Hat Organization and 2.) he lost his identity as the most important one which he then adds number three: where he succumbed to his own trap and concludes that "there's only one thing to do with a villain like this" which then shows Nohyas's grave as the episode ends. In the Third Episode, The Missing Case of Boxmore, Black Hat tries to introduce himself but berates Dr. Flug who tries to correct his master's lines, becoming enraged when trying to address the audience before continuing for aspiring companies to be subsidiary, mentioning over the years, Black Hat has absorbed millions of evil corporations, with one illustration showing him meeting with Paperball into creating his evil personality as Mr. Chanax when he drew onto him, Black Hat would press a button on choosing the requirements but would "accidentally" set off an explosion at a sea with two police hats floating what was left before selecting Boxmore through his superior Crosmos when he was unfamiliar after Dr. Flug explains it to him where Black Hat would pick up a case file to review the list of crimes Lord Boxman was responsible for as he labels him as "Lord Buttman" before contacting a cough that distorts the other villains from regular show shown exploding along with his own demonic face of himself before reassuring himself as he continues and calls the other Heroes working for him Enid, Radicles and K.O to be irrelevant, When he sees Boxman burn of of his robots as punishment, he then alters the footage as the Robot screams in pain, much to relishing in the delight of anguish as a delightful melody before continuing to analyse KO sneaking into Boxmore, commenting that no one understands the importance of security as he pauses the feed and draws depictions of deadly arsenals towards the heroes movements with a red marker, He would then call Darrell, Raymond and Shannon, the three mechanical henchmen working for Boxman as "Useless" while also pointing out his own robotic infiltrators are much more ruthless compared to them as the scenes of each of Black Hat's robot uttering "All hail Black Hat", beginning with the first scene showing Dexter floating in space as he desperately tries banging at the glass of his spaceship being controlled by Hat-9000 (parody of Hal-9000 from a Space Odyssey) preventing him from doing so, next was another Black Hat robot controlling Tiny miracle attacking his own allies such as: Pizza Steve splattered onto the wall of the RV, Realistic flying Tiger being mounted, Gus knocked onto a window and Uncle Grandpa covered in injuries who was cowering in terror as the robot was holding a bat, next was BMO dismantling NEPTRE and terrifying both Finn and Jake who were afraid at BMO's dangerous appendages. Black Hat gives another advice by saying "Rule 302: Manipulate the Hero to do what you want him to do" and adds that "clearly it's not the henchmen who make this company worthy" while expecting if their leader better not be a disgrace. Villainous Black Hat makes his first official appearance in the series in the pilot episode "The Dreadful Dawn". In the episode, he is contacted by a villainess named Penumbra to deal with a superhero named Sunblast from Atreno City after disorienting nearby Television screens when overhearing she would give anything to defeat her sworn enemy, who has a long history of foiling her plans to obstruct the sun, due to her skin having a condition burning her every time she goes directly under the sun. After being contacted, Black Hat sends Flug, Demencia, and 5.0.5. to deal with Sunblast. Later on, after the trio is defeated by Sunblast, they find out the latter is heading back to the manor to confront Penumbra. When they attempt to fly back, Black Hat contacts Flug and, noticing the trio heading back, asks if he had completed his task of defeating Sunblast. Flug, out of fear, lies by stating that they have defeated Sunblast and will even present him defeated at the manor, much to Black Hat and Penumbra's delight. after the trio shrinks Sunblast and defeats him, Black Hat then appears with Penumbra, having witnessed the event. Later in his office, Penumbra thanks him for his service and, as a way of payment, Black Hat has Penumbra sign a soul contract to him and then tells Penumbra to leave. After doing so, he calls the trio's performance "mediocre", much to Flug's devastating dissatisfaction, and proceeds to angrily berate the trio for bringing a hero to his manor as his voice slowly distorts in immersing himself as fully a demonic monster, leaving Dementia to question what they should do, leaving Dr. Flug's response. is to "Run". In the second episode, Boo!-Lidozing, Black-hat is first seen manipulates a commercial of a fearless Superhero Bulldozer threatening the spirits to communicate with the Ghost Children, prompting to being contacted by them in setting off to go after the Superhero. His voice was heard after Dementia defeated Ringworm in one of their latest missions, secretly watching the scenario as he contorts his lackey's into a black mist of a shadow monster to engulf the trio to be brought back to his own personal office along with their ship, along with indirectly a random civilian. Black Hat commented over Dr. Flug's mediocre performance once again as he tosses a tablet containing his new assignment as Dr. Flug questioned what ever happened to Ringworm, as Black Hat would reveal to have delivered the hero through his shadow by prepairing him as a dinner dish for a bunch of blue hungry trolls somewhere on an alternate universe to be eaten alive. He would get off his chair by claiming the Hero as "Fearless" jumping behind and intimidating Dr. Flug as he strides while he debunks the claim to Dementia who gracefully exclaims that nobody is compared to him, He would then see the random hipster again who fearfully pulls out his phone but Black Hat's presence distorts his phone as he becomes visibly angry. Black Hat appears briefly in a scene where Amelia shows him the door that would go to every room in the house, where Black Hat is shown shoving the terrified Hipster down a glowing book. He is seen in the third episode The VVV, where another client named Adelita Guerrero, a secret double agent of P.E.A.C.E who stumbled upon Black Hat using a machine to slowly cover his bowling hat as he acknowledges her presence from Dr. Flug, as the chime of the clock strikes at noon, Spirits bursted through the office pass including Amelia (who Presumably made her contract with Black Hat after Bulldozer was scared away) as he charms his welcome towards the woman who wanted to target El Valiente's mask before signing the contract of giving anything to Black Hat as a silhouette of his demonic spirit scared both 5.0.5 and Dr. Flug for a brief second. meanwhile upon sending his minions on their latest task, Black Hat sabotages the Wrestlers tournament by emerging pillars to call out through the broadcast reading "Arena The Evil One, Tonight the brave once last fight" as a screen of Black Hat appears as the Wresler recognises him as "El Charro" as Black Hat greets him and mocks him for not coming to face him personally but to sit through the whole fight as Dementia manages to take off the mask which originally belonged to a supervillain named Mascara Macabra was the source that was making him evil when It possessed her, Mascare Macabra destined to be challenge by Black Hat offers what more competitors should he beat to earn his approval of fighting, Black Hat directs him onto Dr. Flug as he forces him by briefly coming out of the screen by shouting "OBEY" before transforming his attire into a Wresler uniform. When Flug questions if Black Hat wanted him to fight, the announcer confirms him as Black Hat impatiently snaps an air container, after Mascare Macabra's defeats Dr. Flug, Black Hat arrives, covering the ring with a shadow path down his chair as he would exclaim the immersion of the violence and broken bones sinisterly as he turns to face Mascare Macabra while knocking Dr. Flug down, he would ignore the challenger as he talks thought Dementia due to her unconditional obsession with her master immediately took off the evil mask while also conjuring arms to drag down the announcer to an unknown fate. Black Hat then snatches the mask from Dementia as he terrified Mascare Macabra by ordering a vivisection for Dr. Flug to imprison the mask before conjuring green smoke to teleport his team away from the tournament. He is last seen outside when meeting Flug, Dementia and 5.0.5 who questioned the whereabouts of both El Valiente and Adelita, Black Hat pulls up the contract as he soon warns that both of them "They won't be getting Too Far!" before manifesting a facade of the Mexican Legend El Charro Negro before deserting his lackeys who would later spend a little more time at the ghost town of Mexico before returning back to their master in the after credits. Victor and Valentino Black hat appears as the overarching antagonist of the episode "Villainy in Monte Macabre" where he instructs gathering intel over a creature named Cacao, an infant-like creature with an obsession with chocolate after tracing the creature int he town of mine macabre when he emerged in a sludge of dark matter and worms before instilling fear onto Dr. Flug to complete their mission without flaw before kicking them into the dimension and shortly afterwards begins searching for 5.0.5's whereabouts with a ray, planning on chasing the critter. He is seen near the end of the episode entering the dimension in person with a glare as Victor compares one of Black-Hat's robots gifted to him named "Butler" in which Black Hat would vaporise the automaton, much to Victor's distraught as he sinisterly demands cacao by saying "Bring the Hero to me" Valentino would realise that Cacao was an innocent when Dementia pointing out that they were the bad guys this whole time before teleporting away with the captured Cacao successfully. Powers & Abilities Nigh-Omnipotence: Black Hat appears to be a nigh-omnipotent being, there seems to be no limit to his powers or something close to it. Throughout the series, he has been seen displaying different powers/abilities with ease. Some of the powers he had performed include; Shapeshifting: Black Hat can change his appearance to whatever he wants, mostly to fool/torment others, the most notable example of this being when he changes himself into a perfect replica of 5.0.5 in order to trick and terrify Demencia. Size Manipulation: Likely as another form of his shapeshifting, Black Hat can change the size of his body to that of a giant, although he has only been shown using this ability once. Laser Vision: Black Hat once killed a blue jay by shooting deadly lasers out of his eyes. Dark Magic: Black Hat is shown to use dark magic, such as conjuring an ice cream, turning it into a monster, or restoring a broken precious egg. Portal Creation: Black Hat seems to be able to open portals (possibly to the underworld, as shown by the ghosts coming out of the portal he opened), as shown in the fourth episode "Squeak" when he scratches 5.0.5.'s blackboard. Charisma/Manipulation: Black Hat, as a salesman, uses various forms of charisma and manipulation to convince other villains to buy his inventions. Technology manipulation/Technopathy In Satellite Secrets, Black Hat is able to distort the plot of any television as shown when he transformed the sun from a kids show into a uncontrolled destructive being and merged a fusion between a man and a horse in a soap opera, another instance is when a man is taking pictures of Black Hat, his phone is shown to be distorted when near him.
