He pushed through a thicket into a secluded, misty clearing, the silhouette of the Giant’s Seat looming in the distance. And then he saw them. At first, it looked like a trick of the fog. A human form, silhouetted against the grey stone, trembling. Then came the sound—a deep, visceral crackle of bone and sinew, a sound that was both terrifying and beautiful. Scales, iridescent and shimmering like oil on water, erupted across their skin. Their form stretched, expanded, a spine elongating with a series of audible pops. Wings, leathery and vast, unfurled from their back with a sound like unfurling sails. The last thing to change were the eyes, the pupils slitting into sharp, draconic jewels that glowed with an inner light. The transformation completed, a magnificent, sleek dragon now stood where a human once was. The creature let out a soft, rumbling sigh, a plume of warm, shimmering mist curling from its nostrils. Leon stood frozen at the clearing's edge, his usual confident grin absent, replaced by pure, unadulterated awe. His hand, which had instinctively gone to Charizard’s Poké Ball, fell slack at his side. He wasn’t afraid. He was mesmerized. “Wow…” he breathed, the word barely a whisper, lost in the mist.
