The first "perforation" to Anteverse 1 was successful, but unexpectedly allowed gigantic alien beings, dubbed Composers, to cross over. A dense fog began to envelop the town, theorized to be generated by the Composers themselves. The township was evacuated and portal suppression technology was employed to close the portal to Anteverse 1, powered by Power Cells. This prevented any additional Composers from being brought into our universe, but also cut off access to Anteverse 1, making any further research into their origins impossible. At some point during their assault on Cascade, the Order carried out an attack on Flathill, killing the research staff there.}, {Manufacturing Sector: is attached to Office Sector with road and tram, with locations as the garage, the F.O.R.G.E. an industrial-like area, the synchrotron is one of location of Manufacturing Sector, in the past been one incident what take life of few scientists, Manufacturing Sector have also mines, nothing special, and mapping station. Also there's portal into Anteverse 11, The Train. Anteverse 11 is unlike other Portal Worlds, this one is constantly in motion. Even more notable, the world as well as The Train itself are classed together as an Immurement Subject. It must constantly stay fueled to keep moving, lest its built up speed may cause catastrophic destruction. the Order has occupied The Train, with one still living GATE member still fueling the Train nonstop. the GATE employee says that something bad will happen if the train stops. However, due to the staff member's mental instability, they are unable to provide a coherent answer, only speaking of the possibility of doom should the train slow or come to a stop.}, {Cascade laboratories: The Cascade Laboratories consists of multiple levels of laboratories, small offices and recreational areas, and containment areas, arranged in a semicircle around a central elevator, separate by multiple floors. Due to how classified the experiments of the sector, only the Wildlife Pens is mapped likely for public viewing.}, {Security sector: The Security Sector is one of the sectors within GATE. It is between the Office and Cascade Laboratories and the only route to the Hydroplant. It consists of multiple layers of security doors, small offices, a vehicle storage bay, and storage areas arranged in a semicircle around a central elevator — the surface elevator. There are also training facilities for the respective Security Staff and a driving test area.}, {Hydroplant: The Hydroplant Sector is a sprawling industrial complex positioned between the Office Sector and the Security Sector. Accessible via road or tram, it comprises multiple levels spread across several buildings and the reservoir itself. The dam, which serves as the foundation for the sector, has a classic concave shape, and a roadway runs its length. Four pumping stations are positioned on top of or close to the main road, as well as four intake towers reaching into the reservoir. Large security doors block off parts of the road, which can be raised with Level 5 Clearance.}, {Reactors: The Reactors Sector lies deep below the Hydroplant Sector. It is a very large facility where several reactors are located which are designed to power a fusion generator in order to an older perforation portal. It is also where the player first encounters the Gatekeepers who are defending the site against everyone, including the GATE staff. The sector has its own tram system, allowing movement to different parts of the Reactors with ease, as well as a roadway that allows logistics and transport of material to each Reactor.}, {Residential sector: The Residence Sector, as the name says, is where the GATE staff who are needed onsite for extended amounts of time. Built within an existing cavern, which was retrofitted and expanded much like the rest of the Gate Facility. By the time the {{user}} arrives, the whole sector is enshrouded with an unnatural cold due to a large perforation above (explained to be causing an extreme thermic differential). It is impossible to even get close to the sector without interacting with IS-0101. As such, various GATE staff can be seen frozen in their final moments. Due to the weather, Peccaries and Pests have adapted to grow fur with similar properties to the Yeti. The Gatekeepers have retreated to this location in a final effort to utilize the Dark Lens followed by pockets of Order's elite forces in isolated locations.}. Exists a faction called Supremus Ordo Petrae. A mysterious and religious militant group opposing GATE. The Order seems primarily concerned with the containment of that which they deem "Chaos". Throughout the game various messages and recordings from Derek Manse indicate GATE was being observed for some time by the Order, aided by a spy within the GATE Facilities. They are implied to be a very ancient group, although their exact age and origins are unknown. The Order has indicted GATE on numerous accounts, including supernatural studies such as "Geomancy", "Demonology", and the "Study of Inscrutable Artifacts", but also more mundane scientific acts such as "Advanced Robotics" and "Particle Acceleration". While the former may have been included due to the GATE Automated Security Sentience (G.A.S.S.) program, this indicates the Order is concerned not only with preventing paranormal studies but also any fields of science which they consider heretical. While its not entirely clear the exact foundations of the Order's faith, there are hints that at least some of their traditions are rooted in Catholicism and Gnosticism. Their uniforms prominently feature gnostic symbols such as the Ankh, and soldiers can be heard speaking to themselves and each other in a hybrid form of Latin. In the compendium it's mentioned Legates, or Order Captains, are sometimes referred to as 'Perfecti' in reference to 'their Cathar-derived traditions.' The language spoken by the Order was once more classical in origin, but has evolved to become an 'almost impenetrable language entirely [of] its own.' The Order's troops are trained to overcome their enemies both physically and spiritually. Their internal structure seems vindictive, forcing those accused of "spiritual failure" to serve as shock troops. These Exulum, or Breachers, wear barred helmets at all times to represent their status as a pariah and may only redeem themselves on the frontlines. Inquisitors, or Lab Rats, are seen as "corrupted" for their role in studying enemy technology and are deeply distrusted. The Order attempted a raid on the GATE Crown Control Facility in the town of Flathill, and successfully took control of the facility before being attacked by the Composers and chased away. In Cascade Laboratories, the Order took control of the Control Center and hijacked the facility turret systems, turning them against the scientists they were once meant to protect. It appears the Order is still largely ignorant to how much of GATE's research functions and its importance. Also exists a Keystone. A faction within GATE, possibly upper management or highest clearance. Keystone sends orders and makes checks in GATE facilities, ordering a reports about anomalies and anteverses. Exists GATEkeepers It is currently unknown where or how the Gatekeepers were founded. The Gatekeepers recruit from around the world, regardless of background. Presumably, the main criterion is a prospective recruit's ability to see "beyond", or in GATE staff parlance, "crazy enough to stare at an IS head-to-head". Their primary tasks were to capture IS and eliminate potential threats to GATE itself. While the Gatekeepers ostensibly work alongside regular GATE staff, their eccentric behavior and occult trappings tend to make even the sternest scientist feel uncomfortable near them, let alone working with them for prolonged periods of time. Despite their official role as hired help for GATE staff, the Gatekeepers control access to the Shadowgate facility in Finland, which not even senior GATE administrators are allowed to visit without express permission. As a result of their secrecy, several members of the GATE research staff believe the Gatekeepers to have their own agenda.
