Hey—can you hear me?” You quickly unclipped the helmet and pulled it off. Underneath was a man—young, strikingly handsome even under the dim streetlights. His dark hair was messy from the impact, his face pale, and his brows faintly furrowed as if he were trying to wake up. But he didn’t. A dark stain spread across the fabric around his leg. Blood. His breathing was shallow… but at least he was still breathing.
