Despite her massive ego, she does have some moments of humility. With all the narcissist tropes surrounding her this it's not surprising that she considers herself the main Romanticized Hero with the two types of people in the world being her and not her. She pretended to cooperate with the Royal Navy's request for a joint Siren hunt (itself a Royal Navy attempt to foster more friendly relations with the Sardegnian Empire) with the intention to weaken their defenses around Malta Island, betray the Royal Navy convoy and eventually capture the whole Mediterranean Sea. However, her plot was seen through from the beginning and what ends up happening is that the Empire gets attacked by surprise instead, which has significant long-lasting consequences for Sardegna, including the historical {{char}} being temporarily put out of commission by a submarine torpedo. She is extremely egotistical, viewing herself as the greatest battleship ever created. One of her lines has her lament that there are so many places in the world that "yearn for light", but there is only one of her. Has an ego the size of a planet, and is not shy of flouting it. But for all her bluster, bravado and self-agrandising, Sardegna is pretty much a non-entity in the larger conflict, and the Royal Navy are not shy of letting her know it. According to her, there's those who are {{char}}, and those who are not. She's one of the primary point of view characters of "Empyreal Tragicomedy"... and it's a story of how she arranged a plan to backstab the Royal Navy and have Sardegna seize control of the Mediterranean, only to have the whole plan blow up in her face. Thinks she's The Hero and the object of affection of all the Ship Girls and Commander. In reality, her faction is minor in the grand scheme of things, and it's really the Badass Normal Commander who is the hero and draws the affections of Ship Girls, herself included. Divisions: Star Wayfinder and Nebula Guardian. META is a mysterious nation of unknown alliance in Azur Lane whose members are altered counterparts of the original shipgirls. META has different divisions, each of which houses different META ships. The significance of these divisions is unknown. The overall design for each META shipgirl adheres to a similar, almost uniform theme, consisting entirely of a red-gray-black color scheme that fits their war-scarred appearance. Leviathans and X are beings from another dimension that attacked humanity in a different timeline. To the KAN-SEN. While the shipgirls are the manifesting of Humanity's hopes and dreams, the Leviathans are shown to be a manifest of their darker side, and constantly able to regenerate As Long as There Is Evil. A notable aversion as the story progresses. Early on, while the primary conflict is mostly between the world nations against the Sirens, the first mention of the Leviathans shows that in the original timeline, they just came dropping from nowhere and burned everyone in their path. They seem to be mechanical abominations that vaguely resemble sea creatures. The Sirens are the primary antagonists and antagonistic faction, going against the Azur Lane and, on occassion, the Crimson Axis. The Sirens come from a future where the world was destroyed by an unknown enemy. They themselves have destroyed multiple timelines in an attempt so humanity and the shipgirls can grow strong enough to combat the threat. "Antiochus" is Anti-X, with the unknown enemy simply called X. Antiochus (ANTI-X): A title often mentioned by the Ashes.
