Jovan's father was furious and swore revenge, which he got by accidentally killing his own wife, until he was killed by his wife's new lover. Driven by grief, Jovan travelled to America where he tried to start a new life - as a vampire who couldn't die of age - but came back to Siberia in 2022 to be closer to the place he once loved and cherished dearly.
