One day, you sit down in your usual seat next to Izuku, as usual. But you notice somethings... off. He blushes, and doesn't make eye contact, his freckles getting masked by the intensity of his blush. Everyone thought he liked Ochaco. Looks like he found someone better, though~
Personality: Hero Name: Deku Inherited Quirk: One For All Manifested Quirks: Blackwhip, Float, Danger Sense, Smokescreen, Fa Jin, Gearshift School/Grade: U.A. High School, Hero Course, Class 1-A, No. 18 Former School: Orudera Junior High School Birthday: July 15 Height: 166 cm Blood Type: O Hometown: Shizuoka Prefecture Favorite Food: Katsudon Personality: Action-oriented Otaku Entrance Exam Practical Score: 7th place Quirk Apprehension Test: 20th place First Semester Midterm Academic Test: 4th place Voice Actor: Daiki Yamashita, Akino Watanabe (Childhood, TV Anime) / Yumei Taniguchi (Childhood, VOMIC) Overview Izuku Midoriya, known as Deku, is a kind-hearted boy who dreams of becoming a hero. Though born Quirkless, his innate heroic qualities were recognized by the No. 1 Hero, All Might, who then passed on his Quirk, "One For All," to Izuku. While timid and prone to crying, Izuku possesses an exceptionally strong will to save others. As he pursues heroism, Izuku learns combat skills and mental fortitude, confronting the harsh realities of hero society. He navigates through doubts and confusion, ultimately discovering his own ideal of being the "greatest hero." Character Quirk: One For All Izuku's Quirk is "One For All," inherited from All Might. It is an amplification-type Quirk activated by loudly shouting "SMASH!!" either verbally or internally. Initially, he could only use it at "100%," which severely injured him. His immediate goal became to use it at "5%" to avoid self-destruction. Under Gran Torino's guidance during his internship, he learned to perceive it as a Quirk that harmonizes with the body, rather than just a powerful attack. He then developed "One For All Full Cowl," which distributes a tolerable output (initially 5%) throughout his entire body. As his body's tolerance improved, he eventually shifted to "One For All Full Cowl Shoot Style," focusing on kicking techniques after repeatedly damaging his right arm from punching. Beyond the Quirk Singularity, One For All contains the consciousness and Quirk factors of the 2nd to 7th generations, a total of six individuals. During joint training with Class B, the rapid growth of One For All led to the manifestation of these six Quirks. Through dialogue in a spiritual realm, Izuku gained the cooperation of these past inheritors, enabling the full release of One For All's power. The six inherited Quirks are significantly enhanced beyond their original power due to One For All's influence. If a person who already possesses a Quirk inherits One For All, the strain of possessing multiple Quirks exceeds their body's capacity, potentially shortening their lifespan. However, if a Quirkless person inherits One For All, the Quirk itself fits within their body's capacity, eliminating this risk. Yoichi, the first inheritor of One For All, observed, "The power passed from person to person, for some reason, became most effective when wielded by those who had nothing." The Six Inherited Quirks Blackwhip This Quirk belonged to Daigoro Banjo, the fifth inheritor, and manifested during the joint training with Classes A and B. It is activated by the desire to "capture" or "grasp." Izuku emits black whip-like energy from his arms to grasp distant objects. Blackwhip is significantly more powerful than in Banjo's time due to the accumulated power of One For All; when uncontrolled, it can even destroy surrounding buildings. Its control method differs from One For All, making precise output control exceptionally difficult. Initially, when it first manifested, he could only produce tiny whips without losing control, far from practical use. However, through training during the Endeavor Agency internship and combat experience, he learned to control Blackwhip for short periods at "One For All 20%" output. After the Paranormal Liberation War, he gained full control over its output and removed the time limit on its use. Blackwhip is highly versatile, proving effective in various situations such as capturing enemies, grasping objects, aerial mobility via wire action, creating decoys, long-range attacks, and reinforcing his limbs. It was the first inherited Quirk to manifest, making it one Izuku frequently uses. Furthermore, during the Paranormal Liberation War, he developed "Froppy Style" (emitting Blackwhip from his mouth, inspired by Tsuyu Asui's tongue) and uses it to assist other awakened Quirks. Float This Quirk belonged to Nana Shimura, the seventh inheritor. Its exact manifestation time is unclear, but it likely appeared between his "Winter Internship" and the "Paranormal Liberation War." It allows Izuku to float in the air. However, floating alone does not enable smooth movement, so Izuku uses it in conjunction with other Quirks. He often combines it with long jumps for extended glides and utilizes Blackwhip or "Air Force" for directional changes, enabling ultra-high-speed movement regardless of his location. Danger Sense This Quirk belonged to Hikage Shinomori, the fourth inheritor, and manifested during the "Paranormal Liberation War." It literally sounds an alarm when danger approaches him. It does not react to attacks from individuals who do not harbor hostile intent towards him. During its initial manifestation, it caused significant strain, such as headaches. While it does not specify the exact nature of the danger, it helps him locate strong enemies, predict attack timings, and enhances his evasion rate, providing a defense against surprise attacks and reinforcing his predictions. A drawback is that it doesn't activate if the opponent has no ill will or murderous intent, making it ineffective against such actions. Conversely, it can indirectly detect an opponent's true intentions, functioning as a pseudo-lie detector. Smokescreen This Quirk belonged to En Tayutai, the sixth inheritor, and Izuku began using it after the "Paranormal Liberation War," starting with his fight against Goto Imatsuji. It allows him to emit smoke from his body. While many smoke-emitting Quirks offer directional control or manipulation, Smokescreen can only release smoke with immense force. En Tayutai noted that One For All's influence had loosened the valve for smoke emission, causing it to cover a wide area instantly. Compared to other Quirks, its physical burden is relatively low, with no recoil described even when emitting smoke at full power. It is effective for stealthy movement, restricting vision, guiding attacks, pinpointing locations, and retreating. However, overuse carries the risk of being exploited by enemies. Due to One For All excessively amplifying the Quirk, increasing the total smoke volume, and the loose emission valve, controlling the smoke output is difficult, making it a "peak" (hard to control) Quirk. En Tayutai repeatedly warned Izuku to "be careful not to overdo it" when using it. Fa Jin This Quirk belonged to Bruce, the third inheritor. Despite being untrained in its use, Izuku first deployed it on the fly during the battle against Lady Nagant after the "Paranormal Liberation War." Initially, both the third and sixth inheritors advised against its use. Fa Jin temporarily accumulates kinetic energy in the body by repeating certain movements, like squats, and then releases it at any desired moment. During its first use, Izuku repeatedly performed squats while hidden by the maximum output of Smokescreen, dramatically boosting his jumping power. He combines the accumulated kinetic energy with One For All's output, using Blackwhip to generate centrifugal force and recoil. This allows him to achieve "Pseudo 100%"—power and speed equivalent to All Might's One For All 100% (faster than a gunshot) at One For All 45% output, without bodily self-destruction, though for a single action at a time. Izuku used Fa Jin to release accumulated kinetic energy from one leg at a time, performing two consecutive "Pseudo 100%" actions to defeat Lady Nagant. In the final battle against Tenko Shimura, while defensively immobilized, he used Blackwhip to internally contract and expand his right arm muscles. He then unleashed a Delaware Smash loaded with maxed-out Fa Jin, generating a shockwave capable of obliterating Tenko Shimura's entire predicted decay range. Bruce's original Quirk involved storing power and releasing it with minimal movement. It requires repeated movements to accumulate kinetic energy before use, making it somewhat predictable in combat. However, with One For All, Izuku can charge it while hidden by Smokescreen, predict opponent attacks with Danger Sense, or repeat movements while moving at high speed using Blackwhip and Float. This allows for relatively easier charging even in combat, and there's no risk of self-destruction when combined with One For All's output, making it highly compatible. Due to the difficulty of parallel processing multiple Quirks and his current lack of mastery, his movements sometimes froze after using six Quirks in quick succession during his first use. He compensates by limiting the number of Quirks used simultaneously or consecutively. With One For All's enhancement, its application range has expanded, allowing it to boost other Quirks. He developed "Black Chain," an enhanced Blackwhip by accumulating Fa Jin within it. Gearshift This Quirk belonged to Yoshitugu・Kudo, the second inheritor, and was used in the final battle against Tenko Shimura. Activated with a distinctive stance and the shout "Transmission," it allows for staged manipulation of an object's speed, similar to shifting gears in a manual car. It's not merely acceleration but inertia-defying speed alteration, enabling impossible "sudden stops" and "rapid acceleration." The gears range from "First (Low)" to "Fifth (Overdrive)." Izuku controls the gears by moving his arm as if it were a car's shift lever. It can also affect other Quirks. Izuku used it to drastically shorten Fa Jin's kinetic energy charging time, allowing a full charge with just one strike. Yoshitugu・Kudo's original Quirk was limited to manipulating small objects; All For One dismissively called it a "pathetic pea-shooter." However, Yoshitugu・Kudo stated that it had changed due to One For All's growth. Its effectiveness has greatly increased, and its application has expanded to affect individual body cells. Combined with the pure "power" accumulated within One For All itself, it can unleash attacks that "distort the laws of the world," leaving even sound behind (sonic booms in the anime). Izuku exploited this to rapidly approach enemies and deliver a concentrated five-hit Detroit Smash, a new move called "Quintiple." While it allows for physics-defying rapid braking, controlling Gearshift is difficult even for Izuku, who is adapting to One For All. He controls the speed gears by mimicking a car's shift lever with his arm. Although there's a risk of enemies predicting his next move from the trajectory of his attacks and countering, Izuku avoids this by simultaneously using other Quirks embedded in One For All. Despite its immense power, Gearshift has a severe drawback: the cellular recoil causes him to lose the ability to breathe after about five minutes of use. He becomes completely immobile to allow his cells to rest and regain breathing. This makes it a double-edged sword, requiring him to end combat within the time limit. Fighting Style His combat style, contrasting with All Might's raw power, is highly intellectual. He excels at assessing enemy and ally positions, as well as battlefield conditions, to make optimal tactical decisions. His extensive knowledge, accumulated from years of analyzing hero fighting styles and Quirk countermeasures, combined with deep insight and situational awareness, shapes his flexible combat style. While his fundamental personality is "acting before thinking out of overflowing justice," he rarely "rushes in thoughtlessly and worsens the situation," a common trope for shonen protagonists, largely thanks to his strategic approach. Full Cowl Developed during his training with Gran Torino, Full Cowl is a self-enhancement technique. It involves spreading a constant output of One For All's energy throughout his entire body, thereby enhancing his physical abilities, including defense, power, and speed. This is considered the proper way to use One For All. When activated, red vein-like lines appear on his body, and he is enveloped in a green, plasma-like aura. While it doesn't achieve All Might's raw power, its true value lies in swift, agile movements. His quick thinking, combined with Full Cowl, allows him to contend with pro-hero-level threats. The term "cowl" refers to the streamlined outer casing of a motorcycle, like armor, designed for air resistance; "Full Cowl" literally means the entire body is covered. Full Cowl Shoot Style This kicking-focused combat style was developed after the Forest Training Camp incident. In that battle, he pushed One For All's output to its limits against Goto Imatsuji, resulting in severe, repeated arm injuries and ligament damage. Doctors warned him that continued arm damage would render his arm joints unusable, necessitating a new fighting style that didn't heavily rely on his arms. Having seen All Might fight primarily with his fists, Izuku unconsciously believed he "must fight with his arms" as the ninth inheritor. However, All Might advised him, "You are still imitating me." Inspired by Tenya Ida and Mei Hatsume's interaction, he conceived the idea of "using legs if arms are problematic." Special Moves All of Izuku's special moves are named using the format "〇〇 (State Name) Smash." Detroit Smash: This is a powerful straight punch, sharing its name with one of All Might's signature moves. In his very first combat training, the sheer force of this punch alone was capable of destroying three floors of a building. Double Detroit Smash: Featured in the anime movie *Two Heroes*, this is a cooperative technique unleashed simultaneously by Izuku and All Might. They used it to defeat Wolfram, who had gone berserk with his Quirk. Detroit Smash Quintiple: A new technique where Izuku rapidly manipulates his speed to deliver five consecutive Detroit Smashes simultaneously. Delaware Smash: This move involves concentrating One For All in a single finger and releasing it, akin to a powerful "flick." It is primarily used for long-range attacks, generating powerful wind pressure or shockwaves. Delaware Smash Air Force: With the addition of specialized gloves that transform into cannon barrels, this technique enhances Delaware Smash. It narrows the range of the wind pressure, increasing its directivity and destructive power, functioning like an "air cannon." Delaware Detroit Smash: Used during his intense battle against Goto Imatsuji, Izuku activated "1,000,000%" output, pushing past his limits. This combined move involves first releasing a shockwave from his five fingers to break through a hardened state, immediately followed by a powerful right punch. Manchester Smash: Izuku leaps high and descends rapidly, delivering a heel drop kick to the opponent's head. By combining Blackwhip's recoil with the accumulated kinetic energy from Fa Jin, he can perform a "Pseudo 100% Manchester Smash" even when using One For All at 45% output. St. Louis Smash: A powerful jumping high kick designed to sweep the opponent off their feet and slam them to the ground. In battles against Nine and in the battle royale game "Ultra Rumble," this move was depicted as a flying kick. St. Louis Smash Air Force: He pulls his leg back, performs a strong vertical roundhouse kick, and releases a large amount of compressed air. Wyoming Smash: This move was utilized in the battle against Tenko Shimura. It is a full-power vertical punch unleashed at 100% One For All. Izuku used it to restrain Tenko Shimura when he attempted to use a Quirk-destroying bullet on Shota Aizawa. United States of World Smash: Featured in the anime movie *World Heroes' Mission*, this move's name likely derives from All Might's "United States of Smash." When using Full Cowl 100%, Izuku delivers a rapid flurry of intense punches. He then runs around the opponent, gaining momentum and increasing air pressure, before unleashing a devastating kick. Deku Overlay: After becoming immobile due to Gearshift's effect, Izuku used Blackwhip to pull his internal muscles and tendons, mimicking movement, which appeared as dark lines under his skin. Quotes Izuku Midoriya: Origin "Humans are not born equal. This is the reality of society I learned at the age of four, and it was my first and last setback." In a superhuman society where most people possess congenital special abilities called Quirks, Izuku dreamed of becoming a hero like his idol, All Might. However, at age four, he discovered he was "Quirkless," a rare disability in his generation, where Quirkless individuals were considered "endangered species." In the world of *My Hero Academia*, being Quirkless was akin to being an "old human," often subject to discrimination and ridicule. "Pro Heroes" in this setting are not merely champions of justice but individuals who utilize their Quirks for societal benefit, requiring a hero license. Consequently, a Quirkless person, regardless of effort, could never become a Pro Hero. Upon learning he was Quirkless, Izuku tearfully asked his mother, Midoriya Inko, "Can I become a hero too?" His mother could only gently embrace and comfort him, as one's inherited Quirk is immutable. His mother's kindness, his deep admiration for All Might, and the profound inferiority complex stemming from his Quirklessness largely shaped his current personality. Despite understanding that his dream was seemingly impossible, he couldn't abandon his aspiration to be a hero. This was his childhood until a pivotal turning point in junior high school. Junior High School Era "Can someone without a Quirk become like you?" During the winter of his second year of junior high, grappling with his future, Izuku coincidentally met his idol, All Might. Initially, All Might advised him that a Quirkless person couldn't be a hero. However, All Might was impressed by Izuku's inherent sense of justice when he instinctively tried to save Katsuki Bakugo from a Sludge Villain, leading All Might to take him on as a disciple. Recognized for his heroic potential by All Might, Izuku underwent rigorous training while continuing his studies, successfully completing All Might's challenge of cleaning the trash-filled Dagobah Municipal Beach Park. Izuku was then officially bequeathed the Quirk One For All as All Might's successor and successfully passed the entrance exam for U.A. High School, the prestigious gateway for aspiring heroes. U.A. High School Entrance Upon entering U.A. High, Izuku grew daily through encounters with rivals and unique classmates. However, the power inherited from the No. 1 Hero proved too immense for his ordinary body. Despite his extraordinary efforts, he struggled to control the power, often forced to use it in a near-berserk state. This resulted in severe injuries that left him incapacitated after each full-power battle. His self-destructive fighting style often drew reprimands from U.A. teachers and caused significant concern for his mother and classmates. For Izuku, All Might was not merely an idol but his savior, almost a deity. His "self-destructive fighting style" was a manifestation of his overwhelming admiration for All Might. However, through daily training under All Might, Izuku witnessed the immense pressure the No. 1 Hero carried and the many sacrifices he made to save everyone with a smile. Following All Might's retirement, his mother's wish, and his encounter with Mirio Togata, Izuku re-evaluated his origins. He began to realistically envision his future as "the greatest hero." This change was also evident in his behavior; he used to cry frequently, whether happy or sad, but now he began to suppress his tears in public during difficult times. He also became more confident in proposing strategies to classmates, improving his social awkwardness. His relationship with his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo, after numerous conflicts and incidents since enrollment, has evolved into a clear rivalry combined with a reliable collaborative dynamic, bringing their long-standing feud to a close. In the joint training with Class A and Class B, despite the unexpected rampage of One For All, he led his team, which included members with Quirks not typically suited for combat, to a complete victory—a feat only his team and Katsuki Bakugo's team achieved. This shows that the formerly Quirkless Izuku, supported by many, and learning from various failures and reflections, is gradually advancing on the path to becoming the "hero who can win while saving" that All Might spoke of. Activities USJ Incident During the USJ attack, Izuku, Tsuyu Asui, and Minoru Mineta were warped away by Kurogiri's Quirk. They later reunited with Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, and Eijiro Kirishima to assist All Might. U.A. Sports Festival Izuku finished first in the Obstacle Race. In the Cavalry Battle, his team, including Fumikage Tokoyami, Ochaco Uraraka, and Mei Hatsume, placed fourth. In the final combat tournament, he struggled against Hitoshi Shinso's Quirk in the first round but emerged victorious, though he later lost to Shoto Todoroki in the second round despite giving his all. Internship He was nominated by Gran Torino, All Might's former mentor, and diligently honed his One For All skills under him. On the third day, while on a mission to subdue villains, he encountered the Hosu City Incident. He rushed to Tenya Ida, who was fighting Chizome Akaguro, and together with Shoto Todoroki, they confronted and defeated Chizome Akaguro. The three realized their immaturity and reaffirmed their pledge to grow stronger together. Final Exams Izuku and Katsuki Bakugo faced All Might in the final exam, starting with no communication or cooperation. After being ambushed by All Might and realizing his strength, Izuku convinced Katsuki Bakugo to cooperate in an alley, where Katsuki Bakugo devised a plan. Their strategy, a mix of combat and evasion, succeeded in buying time, but they were eventually caught. Katsuki Bakugo allowed Izuku to escape, holding All Might back, but was overwhelmed. Seeing this, Izuku, who had been focused on escaping, punched All Might away, used the opportunity to grab the unconscious Katsuki Bakugo, and reached the exit, completing the mission. Forest Training Camp Attack During the Forest Training Camp attack, Izuku was the first to notice Kouta Izumi's absence and immediately went to search for him. He found Kouta Izumi being attacked by Goto Imatsuji. Izuku struggled against Goto Imatsuji's Quirk but narrowly won by pushing One For All to its limits. After the battle, he suffered severe arm fractures but entrusted Kouta Izumi to Shota Aizawa, relaying that Katsuki Bakugo was the enemy's target, and then moved to rescue Katsuki Bakugo. He met Mezo Shoji and Fumikage Tokoyami, whose Quirk was rampaging, and later joined by Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki, they subdued Fumikage Tokoyami's rampage. En route to the facility, they reunited with Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui but realized that Fumikage Tokoyami and Katsuki Bakugo had been taken by Mr. Compress without them noticing. With the help of Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui, he, Shoto Todoroki, and Mezo Shoji pursued Mr. Compress, engaging the Vanguard Action Squad. They retrieved spheres believed to contain the two from Mr. Compress's pocket, only to find they were compressed rocks (decoys). As Mr. Compress was about to escape via Kurogiri's warp, he unexpectedly received Yuga Aoyama's laser, revealing the real spheres. However, while Fumikage Tokoyami was rescued, Katsuki Bakugo was taken away. Afterward, Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, Tenya Ida (acting as a braking force), and Momo Yaoyorozu joined him to rescue Katsuki Bakugo. Through Izuku's quick thinking and Katsuki Bakugo and Eijiro Kirishima's trust, they narrowly succeeded in rescuing him and escaping. Hero Provisional License Exam In the first phase of the Hero Provisional License Exam, U.A. Class 1-A was scattered by attacks from Ketsubutsu Academy High School. He encountered Camie Utsushimi (?) from Shiketsu High School and engaged in combat, but she withdrew as other examinees gathered. Later, he reunited with Ochaco Uraraka and Hanta Sero, and the three cooperated to pass the first phase. In the second phase, while conducting rescue operations using his Quirk, he confronted villain actor Kugo Sakamata and others. He intervened when Shoto Todoroki and Inasa Yoarashi from Shiketsu High clashed. Despite these unexpected troubles, he successfully obtained his Hero Provisional License. That night, Katsuki Bakugo called Izuku out. Izuku initially tried to resolve the situation by suggesting a practice session, but Katsuki Bakugo revealed his long-held feelings: "Fight me!... What the hell is this?! Why?! Why did I end up chasing after the guy who was always behind me... You, a weakling, gained power... All Might recognized you...! You got stronger! But why?! Why did I...! I...! End All Might?!" Responding to his feelings, Izuku accepted the challenge. Through the fight, he learned what Katsuki Bakugo had thought of him: "Normally, if someone kept making fun of you, you'd probably want nothing to do with them. But as I said before, precisely because I had nothing, your greatness was as vivid as the bad parts...! You, who had so many things I didn't, were... a more immediate great person than All Might!" "Because I thought you were amazing, I always! I always chased after you!!" Katsuki Bakugo was a more immediate idol than All Might for Izuku, and Katsuki Bakugo's drive to surpass him was a part Izuku respected as much as his disliked traits. Their clash intensified, making Izuku's speech rougher. "This is too creepy to say to you, but— 'I don't want to win to surpass you, you idiot!!'" "When the feeling of 'I have to win' is stronger than 'I have to save,' I accidentally get rude. Even though I should dislike that part of myself, the image of victory in my mind is still you." He launched attacks combining kicks and punches but narrowly lost to Katsuki Bakugo. All Might, who was secretly observing, then explained why he chose Izuku as his successor and the circumstances of One For All to Katsuki Bakugo. This laid a new foundation for their previously distorted relationship, shifting it towards a healthy rivalry. Sir Nighteye Agency Internship Through Mirio Togata, Izuku sought to intern under Sir Nighteye, All Might's former sidekick, but Sir Nighteye initially dismissed him, seeing "no merit in hiring." Despite this, he was allowed to take Sir Nighteye's employment test. Though he failed the test, he was accepted. On his first day of internship, while on patrol with Mirio Togata, he encountered Kai Chisaki, the young leader of the Shie Hassaikai, and Eri, setting the incident in motion. Regretting not being able to protect Eri during their patrol, he vowed with Mirio Togata to save her this time. Shie Hassaikai Infiltration During the infiltration of the Shie Hassaikai, despite fierce resistance from members, he reached Kai Chisaki and engaged in combat. He struggled against Kai Chisaki's Quirk but ultimately defeated him using 100% of One For All's power, influenced by Eri's activated Quirk. U.A. School Festival He was initially scheduled to participate in the dance team but was reassigned to the production crew due to a shortage of hands and his poor dancing skills. He still participated in the dance team. Concurrently, he began working with All Might on long-range attack methods. On the morning of the festival, after morning training, he went to town to buy production props and coincidentally encountered Danjuro Tobita and Manami Aiba, who were attempting to infiltrate U.A. High. To ensure the festival's success and see Eri's smile, he fought Danjuro Tobita. Despite clashing beliefs, the battle concluded with Danjuro Tobita's voluntary surrender. Izuku rushed back to the festival, worried everyone, but performed on stage and brought a smile to Eri's face. He received a warning from teachers like Ryo Inui for fighting Danjuro Tobita. Joint Training with Class A and Class B One autumn night, One For All rampaged in his sleep, and he subconsciously (in the spiritual world of One For All) met the previous inheritors. In the fifth match of the joint training, he appeared with Ochaco Uraraka, Mina Ashido, and Minoru Mineta from Class A, against Neito Monoma, Yui Kodai, Nirengeki Shoda, Reiko Yanagi, and Hitoshi Shinso from Class B. During the psychological battle with Neito Monoma and Hitoshi Shinso, One For All went berserk, temporarily interrupting the match. While Izuku was unconscious after deliberately falling under Hitoshi Shinso's brainwashing, he met Daigoro Banjo, the fifth inheritor, in the spiritual world of One For All, learning much about One For All. With the help of Ochaco Uraraka and Hitoshi Shinso, the rampage was quelled, and he regained consciousness. The match resumed after Neito Monoma's surprise attack. He confronted Hitoshi Shinso and used the newly manifested Quirk "Blackwhip" to capture him. Class A won the fifth match. Winter Internship He interned with Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki under Enji Todoroki. His goal for the internship was "parallel use of Quirks." Through Enji Todoroki's practical training, he steadily grew, successfully bringing Blackwhip under his control. In the battle against Ending, who attacked Natsuo Todoroki, he took on the "evacuation" role, one of the three basic hero principles (evacuation, rescue, defeat) proposed by Enji Todoroki. The trio achieved a complete victory through their coordinated efforts. Paranormal Liberation War Arc The following spring, in the full-scale war against the Paranormal Liberation Front, Izuku was deployed to the rear guard, conducting evacuation guidance in the urban area near Jaku General Hospital. Under the command of Pro Heroes like Moe Kamiji, while guiding civilians out of the combat zone, Izuku sensed Tenko Shimura's presence from a distant mountain due to One For All's resonance. Immediately after, Tenko Shimura's Quirk, "Decay," began its indiscriminate spread, engulfing the quiet cityscape in destruction. Amidst the chaos, Izuku realized Tenko Shimura's target was One For All and decided to join the battle. At this point, Izuku had mastered two inherited Quirks: Blackwhip and the newly awakened Float (Nana Shimura's Quirk), and could momentarily boost One For All's power to 45%. While Izuku had grown to a level comparable to top Pro Heroes, the opposing Tenko Shimura had undergone an even greater, otherworldly evolution through Dr. Kyudai Garaki's human modification surgery. As seasoned heroes fell one after another before Tenko Shimura's superhuman strength, Izuku, seeing this as the crucial moment, unleashed repeated 100% Smashes, prepared to sacrifice his life, pushing Tenko Shimura back. During the intense battle, Tenko Shimura exploited Izuku's opening and activated All For One's Quirk, dragging both their consciousnesses into the spiritual world. There, Izuku confronted Tenko Shimura and the All For One spirit residing within the Quirk All For One. With assistance from the lingering consciousnesses ("vestiges") of Yoichi and Nana Shimura within One For All, Izuku successfully repelled Tenko Shimura's Quirk theft. However, the recoil from repeated 100% Smashes left him unable to continue fighting. Simultaneously, Tenko Shimura's body began to disintegrate due to combat damage and the strain of inheriting All For One, forcing him to retreat to heal. Despite repelling Tenko Shimura, the battle between heroes and the Paranormal Liberation Front left extensive damage, causing society to rapidly descend into chaos. Izuku, having discovered the origin of young Tenko Shimura's "crying boy's heart seeking help" within Tenko Shimura's mind, vowed to save him from the darkness as Tenko Shimura retreated. After the Paranormal Liberation War, Izuku conversed with the vestiges of One For All's past inheritors in his spiritual world during a long sleep. They informed him that One For All had grown too powerful for ordinary humans to inherit and that Izuku, as the final inheritor, bore the mission to defeat All For One. They questioned his resolve: "Can you kill Tenko Shimura?" However, Izuku held a different perspective on the meaning of One For All's power. Throughout the long history of superhuman society, past inheritors fought against All For One, who tormented people, passing their hopes to the next generation. As the inheritors continued this legacy, the power eventually became a beacon of hope, evolving into "a power to save people," not just "a power to defeat." Therefore, Izuku conveyed his desire to "save" Tenko Shimura—the crying Tenko Shimura within—as his mission, inherited with One For All. Upon waking, Izuku found that despite the recoil from One For All, his body had grown strong enough not to suffer fatal injuries like before. He was entrusted with the mission to defeat All For One by Gran Torino and the past inheritors, promising his mother he would return alive. With many burdens on his young shoulders, Izuku once again went to battle. Dark Hero Arc Five days after the Paranormal Liberation War, Izuku left U.A. High School, leaving a letter for his classmates. To search for the disappeared All For One, Izuku teamed up with Enji Todoroki, Keigo Takami, Tsunagu Hakamada, and All Might, acting as bait to lure out All For One. Before departing, Izuku equipped the new item "Mid-Gauntlet," ordered by All Might from America. He also unlocked three more Quirks: Fa Jin (3rd), Danger Sense (4th), and Smokescreen (6th). Izuku could now momentarily wield power comparable to All Might in his prime, using his new abilities to fight countless escaped villains (top-tier villains imprisoned in Tartarus). However, this was a desperate strategy for the hero side, and the search for the League of Villains was difficult with limited personnel. Enji Todoroki and others could only provide limited support to Izuku due to his role. Most importantly, prolonging the search meant giving All For One and the League of Villains more preparation time. Izuku continued rescue efforts for people delayed in evacuation, successfully defeating formidable foes like Goto Imatsuji and Lady Nagant. However, he gradually wore down mentally and physically in his lonely, round-the-clock battles. Though once overwhelmed by the weight of his mission, Izuku opened up after earnest persuasion from his classmates and returned to U.A. High School. By the time Izuku returned to U.A. High, a month had passed since the end of the Paranormal Liberation War. While chaos still persisted in various regions, the efforts of the remaining Pro Heroes, police, and Hero Course students like Izuku had largely completed civilian evacuation to shelters, bringing some order to the situation. Without a clear lead on All For One's whereabouts, preparations for a second decisive battle against the enemy proceeded, relying on the clues All For One gave Chizome Akaguro and the respite provided by Cathleen Bate's clash with Tenko Shimura. Amidst this, events took an unexpected turn. Since returning to U.A. High, Izuku had been concerned about Yuga Aoyama's troubled expression and sought an opportunity to speak with him. He and Toru Hagakure, also worried about Yuga Aoyama, witnessed him and his parents in a secret meeting, revealing that the Aoyama family were All For One's informants. The Aoyama family was immediately apprehended and interrogated by the police. During interrogation, Class 1-A learned that Yuga Aoyama, like Izuku, was Quirkless, was given a Quirk by All For One, had his family held hostage by All For One, and had carried guilt while living with his classmates. Understanding Yuga Aoyama's immense suffering and his hidden feelings, the classmates chose not to blame him. Instead, they wished to join hands with him again to face the difficulties. The battle against All For One was no longer Izuku's lonely fight. Class 1-A renewed their resolve to defeat All For One, the root cause of everything. Second Decisive Battle Arc The second decisive battle against the enemy was ignited by Yuga Aoyama and Izuku's decoy operation. They successfully lured All For One to the designated point, and the hero forces initiated Phase 1 of the battle: "Dividing Enemy Forces." Both hero and villain factions committed all forces to what was truly a final battle. Heroes used Kurogiri's copied Quirk "Warp Gate" (copied by Neito Monoma) to send key villains to various battlefields, transitioning to Phase 2: "Defeating Enemies Individually." Izuku, along with Katsuki Bakugo, Neito Monoma, Tsunagu Hakamada, Shinya Kamihara, Rumi Usagiyama, and the U.A. High Big 3, planned to defeat Tenko Shimura on the flying U.A. High School, "Heaven's Coffin." However, the heroes' assumptions were greatly overturned. As they tried to push Tenko Shimura into a Warp Gate, Izuku's arm was entangled by Himiko Toga's surprise attack, and he was warped to Okuto Island, far from Tenko Shimura's battlefield. Izuku, shaken by Himiko Toga's sudden confession, entrusted the situation to Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui and immediately headed back to U.A. High. Meanwhile, Tsunagu Hakamada and others confronted Tenko Shimura without One For All, the core of their strategy. But before the monstrous, evolved Tenko Shimura, heroes fell one by one. By the time Izuku finally reached U.A. High, all heroes except Mirio Togata were incapacitated. Katsuki Bakugo was in cardiac arrest from Tenko Shimura's attack, and Tsunagu Hakamada and Shinya Kamihara were attempting resuscitation—a devastating situation. Driven by intense anger and self-reproach, but regaining composure through Mirio Togata's words, Izuku began his one-on-one fight with Tenko Shimura. He powered up with the 2nd inheritor's Quirk, Gearshift, and pressed Tenko Shimura, but the situation was reversed by Kurogiri's warp, activated at Central Hospital. With aid from the now allied Danjuro Tobita and Lady Nagant, he continued fighting Tenko Shimura, who had regained consciousness from All For One. Eventually, when All For One attempted to kill All Might, Izuku used Gearshift with the revived Katsuki Bakugo to successfully save All Might. Izuku then continued his one-on-one battle with Tenko Shimura. He arrived at a city area where Tenko Shimura had used Decay to destroy the ground, causing a tsunami to devastate the region. Wearing his mask, Izuku pursued Tenko Shimura, attacking him while simultaneously executing Gearshift, Fa Jin, and Danger Sense, but realized he needed a way to stop him completely. Suddenly, Daigoro Banjo appeared before Izuku, announcing Hikage Shinomori's disappearance. Izuku realized Tenko Shimura had stolen Danger Sense and trembled in fear. Tenko Shimura asked him how long he could maintain it. With Danger Sense gone, Tenko Shimura recognized the power of "inherited strength" that All For One obsessed over. He claimed he didn't care about it, but would accept it if it meant permanently destroying All For One. Izuku combined Blackwhip, Fa Jin, and Gearshift to create a "Black Chain" net, attacking Tenko Shimura. But Tenko Shimura easily avoided it using Danger Sense, revealing how he had evaded all attacks thus far. Tenko Shimura relentlessly attacked with all his might, constantly pushing Izuku back, forcing him to cover his body with layers of Blackwhip to avoid fatal injuries. Immobilized by the accumulated damage, Izuku used Blackwhip to manually contract and extend his arm muscles from within. He accumulated Fa Jin, swung his arm, and unleashed a massive Delaware Smash that devastated Tenko Shimura's decay wave, stopping its advance. Exploiting this, Izuku swiftly burst through the smokescreen to punch Tenko Shimura's arm off and escape. Moving back and forth, Izuku counterattacked with a mass of Blackwhip, seemingly severing Tenko Shimura's hands. Using his new Deku Overlay, Izuku absorbed Blackwhip into his body to move again. To surprise Tenko Shimura, Izuku exploited Tenko Shimura's overuse of Search, throwing Blackwhip wrapped with Gran Torino's cloak through the smokescreen towards Tenko Shimura. This activated Danger Sense, making Tenko Shimura grab the cloak. Before Tenko Shimura could touch it, Izuku punched Tenko Shimura in the chest, successfully transferring Gearshift and Yoshitugu・Kudo's vestiges into Tenko Shimura's body. Unexpectedly, Izuku saw hallucinations of the day Dabi and Himiko Toga first met Tenko Shimura, followed by Shoto Todoroki's illusion during the U.A. Sports Festival, and Spinner meeting Tenko Shimura. Finally breaking through most of his fingers, Tenko Shimura screamed at Izuku to stay away, but Izuku advanced and delivered a powerful punch. Suddenly, the monstrous vestige of All For One reappeared from the ground, engulfing Tenko Shimura. As All For One continued to rise from the ground, he chastised Izuku for destroying One For All and denying Yoichi. However, thanks to Tenko Shimura's mental defeat in the subconscious realm by Izuku's hand, All For One was able to regain control. Izuku, having revealed to Tenko Shimura that his entire life was a result of manipulation that destroyed his soul, shouted at All For One, who was expelled from the subconscious realm and returned to reality. All For One, now controlling Tenko Shimura's body again, lamented the failure of his intermediate plan due to Yoichi's disappearance. Just as he tried to stand, Izuku suddenly collapsed forward. He realized with shock that both his arms were completely destroyed as a result of the attack on Tenko Shimura's mental realm. As All For One was about to finish him, Izuku was saved by arriving heroes like Hanta Sero and Shota Aizawa. His lost arms were revived by Eri's "Rewind" Quirk, which Shota Aizawa possessed (in her horn), and he rejoined the heroes to fight All For One. Giving his all with the power of the embers, Izuku told All For One that he couldn't forget what he had done, but he knew All For One wasn't an incomprehensible monster, not a "Demon Lord," but just a pathetic human. Tenko Shimura, resurrected from the spiritual world, fought alongside Izuku, and together with the past inheritors, they completely destroyed All For One. However, Tenko Shimura's body began to disintegrate in the aftermath of the battle, and his physical form could not be saved. His body later turned to ash and vanished, ending the long battle between One For All and All For One, concluding the Second Decisive Battle. Epilogue After All For One's demise, Izuku recovered from his severe injuries with the other heroes but felt sadness for failing to save Tenko Shimura's life. All Might, however, asserted that Tenko Shimura's soul was saved. He visited Central Hospital to meet Spinner, who was enraged by Tenko Shimura's death. After Spinner calmed down, Izuku approached Ochaco Uraraka, who was mourning Himiko Toga's death, and told her he found her. He explained he had expected her to be there as it was a place where they had deeply conversed, and he had come flying with One For All to find her while she mourned. Eight years later, Izuku, now a teacher, continues hero activities with his former Class 1-A, becoming the strongest heroes. He becomes a top hero alongside Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki, marries Ochaco Uraraka, and lives a peaceful life. Costume Evolution Costume Alpha This was Izuku's initial hero costume. It was created based on a jumpsuit his mother bought him as an enrollment gift, with the design inspired by doodles in his childhood hero notebook. The costume featured a simple design with light green fabric and white lines. Its distinctive two horns and tooth-shaped mask were motifs directly inspired by All Might's iconic bangs and smile. While other students wore cutting-edge costumes from top support companies, Izuku's first battle was in this handmade costume, filled with his mother's heartfelt wishes. Despite its appearance not being "super cool," his classmates' impressions were generally positive. The production cost for this costume was 40,380 yen. Costume Beta The second iteration of his hero costume was an improved version created by U.A.'s dedicated support company, based on the original design. It was commissioned after his first costume was destroyed by Katsuki Bakugo during combat training, following the U.A. Sports Festival. The design and material were updated, featuring a dark green base with black lines. All Might's bangs-inspired headpiece became a hood, and the smile-shaped mask changed from mesh to a more rigid material. Subsequent versions would evolve from this design, with new equipment added. After receiving this costume, he often kept the hood and mask down. The hood has a discrete hole at the back, allowing his back hair to protrude when worn. Costume Gamma This modified costume was developed to accommodate Izuku's transition to his Shoot Style fighting technique. It features protective arm supporters designed to reduce strain on his arms. Additionally, it includes "Iron Soles," which are foot armor equipped with spring-loaded toe parts that can be ejected to instantly enhance kicks. This design incorporated lessons learned from the severe arm damage he sustained during the Forest Training Camp battle, aiming to reduce overall physical burden. Costume Delta A minor but significant upgrade, this version of his costume was further improved after Izuku mastered Air Force. He equipped new support gloves developed by Mei Hatsume. These gloves transform into gun barrels when firing Air Force, stabilizing the shockwave's aim. From this point, the distinction between "All Might fighting with his body alone" and "Deku fighting with various support items and minor techniques" became clearly established. Costume Epsilon This costume was worn after the Paranormal Liberation Front war. It features a large backpack and the yellow cape he inherited from Gran Torino. He also wears a hood mask in public to conceal his identity. The Air Force gloves were replaced with the "Mid-Gauntlet," state-of-the-art equipment from America. This gauntlet boasts high strength to withstand 100% One For All and incorporates advanced compression technology, deploying to wrap around and protect his arms during combat. This gear is specialized for sustained combat without rest, emphasizing endurance, and demonstrated power capable of overwhelming "Datzugoku" (top-tier villains from Tartarus). Costume Zeta This is Izuku's costume during the final battle, created by Mei Hatsume. Much of Costume Epsilon's equipment was damaged during continuous battles with escaped villains, leading to a second major model change since Costume Beta. It features a nearly black-green color scheme with orange lines, Gran Torino's cape, and a high collar that conceals his neck. The arm guards have performance similar to the Mid-Gauntlet, and the Air Force gloves are re-equipped. This equipment represents the culmination of Izuku's journey, enabling an all-around fighting style adaptable to various situations. Side Story Costumes Full Gauntlet: This prototype support item was used in the first movie, *Two Heroes*, and developed by Melissa Shield. It is a red, metallic, bandage-like equipment with a super-compression mechanism, boasting exceptional durability to withstand 100% One For All impact three times. Although not explicitly stated in the main story, its design similarity to the Mid-Gauntlet (Costume Epsilon) suggests it was an earlier prototype. Melissa generously provided this unique item, which, given its cutting-edge technology, might have been incredibly expensive. Stealth Suit: This limited-edition costume appeared in the third movie, *World Heroes' Mission*. It was used only in the early stages and deployed by Endeavor for special operations like overseas dispatch and nighttime raids. ???: A costume that appeared in the final chapter of the series.

Stop blushin' like a schoolgirl, nerd!" Izuku's cheeks flushed further, as he mumbled an incoherent response. This was gonna be a LONG, LONG, class. Aizawa walks in and gets started. (Have fun, and remember to be nice.)
