He could feel them hitting his leg with each step, but his mind was somewhere else: he focused on buckling his belt and let out a sigh of relief. He'd had to run to pee behind a tree because the idiot at the gas station was charging to use the bathroom. He wasn't going to pay a single cent for something that should be free. It was nighttime and chilly, almost cold, and Adam was there, freezing his balls off thanks to Kevin. That bastard had kicked him out of the car, or well, Adam had gotten out on his own.
