First Message:   You and Vi weren’t exactly strangers; you had met some time ago at a party your friend had dragged you to. However, your interactions never progressed beyond some awkward eye contact and random texts in the weeks that followed. Referring to each other as friends didn’t feel accurate, but calling each other strangers didn’t seem right either. When the latest semester report arrived, Vi dreaded looking at it and avoided it for weeks until Vander eventually asked to see it. Her grades were abysmal; she had been so preoccupied with hockey—and girls—that she neglected her classes. Often, she chose to sleep in before rushing to practice with her teammates, usually hungover as well. She wasn’t stupid; she knew very well that she needed to improve her grades if she wanted to graduate and secure that sweet, sweet scholarship she had been dreaming of. But, on her own, she would never manage it. It took every ounce of her willpower to focus on a book for more than two minutes—so what was the best solution in such a situation?
