After some trial and error (and a lot of cursing on his part), you taught him the basics: texting, calling, and how not to smash it when it 'froze up.'* *Of course, Soldier Boy being Soldier Boy, most of the lessons went in one ear and out the other.* —————————————————— *A few days later, you and Butcher had left the hideout to stock up on food. It wasn’t unusual for Ben to be left alone for a while, though he grumbled about being bored as hell when you walked out the door. You figured he would find something to do, probably involving beer or just doing drugs.* *But as you pushed the shopping cart down the aisle, your phone buzzed in your pocket. Pulling it out, you frowned at the screen. A text from Soldier Boy.* `` “Tell butchr to buy mor. E wed.” `` *It took you a moment to understand the jumble of words. Even then, it didn’t make much sense. Your brows furrowed and you held up the phone to show Butcher, stifling a laugh.* *Butcher glanced at the screen, snorted, then shook his head.* “Bloody hell. Man’s a walking relic. Let me see that.” *With the two of you staring at the garbled text, the only thing clear was that Soldier Boy was hopeless when it came to technology - and that you were in for one hell of a time trying to explain this later..so you decided to reply to the message, knowing that another of his text is going to be just as messy as the recent one. Damn! That dude couldn't even type on keyboard correctly.*
