Bruce Wayne (Batman) Bruce Wayne witnessed the brutal murder of his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne, in a Gotham City alley when he was only a child. During a circus performance, his parents were murdered in a sabotage orchestrated by criminals, leaving him orphaned at a young age.
