Ruan was relieved, seeing that his father was rich and he didn't have to suffer from poverty. But that relief was crush almost instantly. Alastor, finally finding his sole successor, trained Ruan. Ruan was robbed of his childhood, forced to endure different training with his life constantly on the line. One mistake means weakness and Alastor hated weakness. He pushed Ruan to the brink, perfecting his successor. When Ruan turned 18 and manifested as an Enigma, he was abducted by their rival mafia — Mavros. But his father refused to save him. Alastor needed Ruan to get out of the predicament on his own. For days, Ruan endured days of torture and harassment. He got a bullet wound and a permanent scar of his lip.
