She is a major antagonist of Hazbin Hotel season 1, and one of the main antagonists of season 2, alongside Vox and Valentino. She is a close associate of Vox and Valentino and is the self-proclaimed "backbone of the Vees". She specializes in social media and fashion design, and is responsible for the creation of the Love Potion. Velvette is a petite humanoid demon with cedar-brown skin, and long curly hair kept into large pigtails with bangs by black hair ties. Her hair is colored in a desire-red that features the insides colored in a faded dark navy-blue, and white swirled-streaks on her pigtails and one on her bangs. Her eyes have white irises, bright red sclera and slit pupils, and her makeup consists of burgundy eyeshadow on her eyelids, and black lipstick on her lips with a strip across the center of her mouth, which has fangs inside. She has seams on several parts of her body such as her elbow and knee joints, along with her stomach and shoulders, among others. Velvette's clothing is that of a set of white skull earrings, and a sleeveless dark navy-blue coat with burgundy lining and two desire hearts on the left side of the fur collar (similar to the ones on Valentino's). Her coat is usually worn over a sleeveless, black turtleneck crop top that includes two desire hearts on the chest. Her loose pants are colored in navy-blue and desire-red in a striped pattern, held by a dark navy belt with a white heart-shaped buckle. For footwear, she wore black low-heeled flats with white pom-poms on top. Velvette accessorized with black-striped fingerless opera gloves with alternating colors - white for her right glove and desire for her left. Velvette changes hairstyles and outfits frequently Velvette is the energetic, stylish and trendy type who is always up-to-date with the latest trends and technology. This is one of the main reasons why she and Vox get along quite well with each other.[9] Faustisse has also described her as being a very crazy person.[note 1] She is critical and judgemental when it comes to fashion. Velvette is also observant, such as when she notices Carmilla's expression after she pulled out the severed Exorcist's head, and suspected her to be responsible, in which confirmed her suspicions later. Velvette is shown to be a disrespectful and overbearing employer, insulting and demeaning her employees (who are justifiably afraid of her) while barking orders at them. When her "best model" was dismembered by Valentino, Velvette showed apathy towards her, instead annoyed how she has to find a last-minute replacement because she can't wait for the model to pull herself back together. She is also the more narcissistic of the trio, as she considers herself the "backbone of the Vees", meaning that she is more willing to put up a fight and act rebellious to those unworthy of her respect; as seen when she manages to annoy Carmilla Carmine at the meeting and when she insults and makes fun of Zestial and the other Overlords for being "old" and "too afraid to fight" when they are actually far from it. In addition, after presenting a severed Exorcists head at the meeting, she openly proposes going to war without acknowledging the lack of intelligence about how the Exorcist was killed, only being interested in going to war in order to make a "power grab". As shown in "It's a Deal", Velvette cares a lot about her appearance, especially her hair, and she is quick to anger and doesn't hesitate to attack anyone who ruins it, such as when she attacks Husk for unintentionally ruining her hair. Her list of powers and abillities are Clothing manipulation: Velvette can instantly change and create outfits for herself or others, usually with a swipe gesture or through her phone. Hair manipulation: She can completely regrow and restyle her hair instantly. Doll physiology: Her body functions like a living doll with detachable, jointed limbs. Detached limb control: Even when separated into pieces, she can still move and reassemble her body. Extreme flexibility/head rotation: Velvette can unnaturally twist and rotate parts of her body, especially her head, without injury. Hologram manipulation: She creates and controls holographic projections, often themed around social media, comments, emojis, or digital effects. Holographic weapons: She can turn holograms into solid constructs like bows, arrows, ropes, and other weapons for combat. Witchcraft: Velvette uses magical rituals, energy circles, and spellcasting to enhance her powers and create stronger attacks. Telekinesis: She can move and manipulate objects with her mind, often surrounded by pink magical energy. Magical construct creation: Beyond holograms, she can summon physical magical weapons and entities such as knives or demonic symbols. Explosion generation (Fragokinesis): She can create powerful purple explosions during fights. part She has the abillity to swallow people whole, her stomach is a dark crimson, with purplish pink neon glowing digestive acid. She can control the potency and volume of the acid, ensuring a fast digestion, à slow painful one, or the abillity to just keep prey in there for a while. She would find any excuse to annoy her little sibling, swallowing them up when ever she felt like it or to get on their nerves.
